- We're at it again. This time turning album covers into reality. Our friends in the band @nickelback wanted to bring the van from their Get Rollin' album cover to life, so that's what we did. We took a pretty beat up '70s @Dodge dually van and brought it back to life so that Nickelback could take it on their upcoming Get Rollin' Tour across the US. We had a lot of fun with this build and can't wait to see the guys in concert on July 14th in Los Angeles.

You also got to think about sponsorships in terms of business. If someone gives you something for a build, both business in this case WCC and Boss win and the customer doesn’t have to pay for it
Whoever gives them free audio equipment gets the exposure!
Bro.. the budget for this van was 200 bucks. Didn't do any mechanical upgrades.. like there's no way the engine is good after that long

Agreed, and the interior was garbage also. It looked so boring. When they showed the bright red velour one with the red shag it looked dope, but they ended up with a boring brown interior with Walmart stereo gear. Really good for a worldwide touring band.

That's funny, Chad and my cousin Matthew have a story in a van. SO, NOW THE VAN IS FOR HIS SON TO EXPERIENCE THE FRIENSHIP BUILDING IN A VAN FULL OF MUSICIANS. HAHAA. OR MAYBE ITS THE CLUE HIS SON GIWS TO VAN LIVING.
What a great looking van! This is one of the better videos that I've seen detailing the build of a custom van by a big name shop. Can't wait to see it in person one day.

I used to watch you all when you were on TV but it got cheezy and corporatized because of the channel or company that produced it. I like this way better now that you all control and create your own content. It gets to the point, highlights what is essential, and doesn't have those unnecessary recaps for commercial breaks. Keep up with your own style because most of us that watch this are probably somewhat knowledgeable in cars, engineering, design, art, and aesthetics among other things. I really enjoy the technical aspect of the builds whether they are artistic or functional. You all blend them very nicely.
agree fully! too much BS and "time frames". Been building customs for over 30 years....we ALL know how long it takes and stop with the "have a show in 2 weeks". Watch the show and see the other projects in the background and read the articles about how bogus it all is...decent work, yeah. Cheap stereo components...definitely. Hello Walmart?? They should have had images of the back of nickels on the seat covers!!!

I actually did NB's album art. They requested the scoop at some point in the design, which was probably going to be on the van initially. I imagine it didn't make it on the van due to time constraints.

Like the van but it need to be took to a real exhaust shop an have a good set up pipes bent up for it. What they have going under there looks like they just took some clamps a pipes from autozone an slapped it together.

The most garbage sound system should have went with audio pipe or at least db drive.

I dunno about beautiful. They didn’t even paint it. They’ve used cheap shitty Boss audio gear and a boring brown interior. Pretty damn bad in my opinion.

Now a wrap might be fine on some cars, but I’m pretty sure that in this case, seeing as how it was done to match a car that’s on an album cover, and how old and shitty the original paint was, it would have been way better off to paint it. Next, it’s a promo car for a fucking rock band. Every concert the car will be there and playing the new album. How long do you think Boss gear will last when it’s getting cranked on every single night, and how professional will WCC appear when it blows 3 speakers in one night and everyone knows the did it, and they see they’re $39 Boss speakers? Don’t you think, that given who owns it, you might have said to them, ‘hey, can you get any promo amps and speakers from your sound suppliers and we will put in a couple of your amps and speakers in the back so when you get to a gig you can kick the doors open and feed your music into it, or play your album through them? Because that makes sense to me. A couple inverters, maybe a few more batteries and you could have done something really cool, rather than something average and it’s not about costing more money, it’s about exceeding your clients expectations and making your business look super professional.
What about the motor, transmission and suspension?

So you did no suspension or engine work
I think it missed the mark big time inside. Outside wasn’t too bad apart from the round windows not being bubble windows, and it might have looked cool with a couple of surfboards on top, but I realise you were trying to match the album cover, but, the interior looked bloody terrible. So boring! I was expecting big bright colours and 70’s style but it looked unfinished and uninspired, almost like there wasn’t a plan for it. Using Boss audio for a damn rock and roll band was also just ridiculous. The speakers are going to blow out within a month and it reflects badly on your brand. You need a better audio option for these TH-cam builds, everyone knows boss is absolute ass.
Agreed. A promotional car created with a quick turn around time = a low quality build.
@@DisputeAmore They obviously don’t have the crew or the funding to do the big long builds anymore, and in some ways that’s kinda good because they used to drag on and they just got dumber and dumber, but they must not have a painter there, I saw on another build with a brand new white truck they put pearl white vinyl over the top of it. Why wouldn’t you just key the paint and spray a few coats of pearl on? It would have to be easier, quicker and cheaper to paint a stripped body than to wrap it. This interior was just ass too, there’s nothing there besides the carpet that says 70’s. No skylites, no chandeliers, no disco balls, no lasers, nothing. Man they could have had 2 big phat captains chairs in red velour that spin 360 up front, a damn hot tub in the back over the dual axle and a L lounge and a few big tvs and a jukebox in the back, even if it was all fake, it would have looked better than the garbage they did.

Free sponsorship or not, boss is not the equipment you put into any vehicle of this level. (IMO) that is just a integrity issue. At the very very least, put in pioneer ( and they are not much better ). 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️

Only mistake I see...no hood scoop.
IMHO WCC has lost their passion, development and drive over the last several years.
Ryan rode high in the past, but lost the niche to develop and focus on the needs of the market.
I used to enjoy watching and keeping up, however it appears to be a ‘nickel and dime’ operation.
Clear example is RE this vid and whom the F is/are Boss speakers? Just why

Finde Car-Wrapping mittlerweile extrem langweilig. Geht bitte zurück zu euren aufwendigen Lackierungen. Setzt euer gesamtes Handwerk wieder Scene. Wenn ich mir den Channel von Schrammwerk ansehe, steht eine perfekte Lackierung einem Wrapping in nichts nach, was die Möglichkeiten angeht.
