And then those swords transform into unlimited little metal petals that look like rose petals when they come in contact with the sunlight. Those petals then are able to cut the opponent in every direction an unlimited amount of times.
I was kind of hoping some of the old insta-kills would be updated or changed, like Naoto's and Yosuke's. I don't know about you guys, but I found them lackluster compared to some of the other ones, like Akihiko destroying a planet or Aegis summoning a molecular cannon.
Then that means you miss the point. The point is each special fits the character. Yosuke tries to make his all cool and flashy, it works alot of people sing it's praises. Naoto was never of fan of flashiness, so she makes it quick and efficient. She takes herself and her job seriously after all.

Two are robots, two are Homunculus and ones a bear.
The only thing I will say is this. The fact they took these insta kills and made them the Astral Finishes in Cross Tag is kind of a nice touch.
