This was fantastic add on when it released and is still a ton of fun to fly. However, it’s in need of some updates and could use some quality of life features. That would inject some much needed life into the aircrafts.
Thanks for the preview. They a looking good and you really feelsthe swedish vibes. Looking forward to SCR. I still remember when Rörbäcksnäs was a small airfield with 3 airplanes. The touristic development over the last 20 years in this region is enormous.
If I recall correctly! Your question or challenge has to do with the tropopause, and surface heating/convection. I'm gonna say: in the winter with near zero solar warming of the ground near the north pole, the air is naturally going to be colder than ISA. However in the summer with lots of thermal convection going on (24/7 solar radiation for a while) the lower tropopause allows much less cooling of the air than that at the equator, hence producing higher ISA relative temperatures at altitude. It may also have something to do with the directions of the wind at the poles(westerlies/easterlies) but i'm not quite so sure, those are more likely caused by the temperatures and by extension the difference in tropopause altitude.

Moin!
Tropopause is lower in the northern regions because cold air is more compressed. Cruising altitude is usually above the tropopause and above the tropopause the temperature does not really decrease anymore, thats why the temperature is warmer.
The polarvortex is usual quiet big in the wintermonths, and it gets weaker and more "isolated" around the polarregion in the summer. Its easier for the hotter air to go far more north, so the ISA temp has to be higher. It´s just a guess^^
Hello cpt! Thanks for the great flight. I'm using TCA sidestick for CRJ but it is too sensitive during the approach phase as well as after takeoff. Do you have any recommendations for this issues?
57:55 how often would you check the throttles N1 & airspeed during cruise? (Without auto throttle). I find if I ‘set and forget’ it can move a lot over time
Doesnt seem like Aerosoft is very committed to making the needed changes and actually “finishing” this plane. They have their fingers in dozens of things, but none seem to get the needed attention
Haven’t you heared about Vikings? The guy is probably a SAS pilot. Needs to be at least below minus 20, before they start using long sleeves. Below minus 30, he might put on a jacket 😂🤣😂
@@A330Driver To be fair, to me who live in Umeå, you said it better than most Swedes. Most replace the e with a j when saying it. While we who live here (and most of the north) just say Ume.
Not really. The APU only burns roughly 120lbs an hour. Unless you plan on running it the entire flight, it's not exactly included in the planning. The way my company plans it, it's included in the taxi fuel, which is between 3 to 400lbs.
Emanuel, you have to make a video in response to the latest Fenix Block 2 feature review. Would be very interesting to hear your opinion on this. Probably you are already working on this 😉
My first impression is really split... my first impression is literally that they have finally copied the last good features of the FSLabs Airbus now. Doesn't seem like anything new, my first impression is that it's a 1:1 copy.
@@A330DriverWell, unfortunately I am not familiar with FSLabs A320 (I had my flight siming on pause during that P3D period). May be this comparison could be exactly something for a new A330Driver-video. Just to compare what is as you said copied and what is new and pushes the simulation boundaries on the new level. Would be very interesting to see. Thanks a lot for everything you do for the community
@@A330DriverI don’t recall fslabs having working circuit breakers, having too dry crank, compressor stalls, soft body tire physics, or dust accumulation, or side stick dampening. There is many more things I can say about the Fenix a320 engines having what fslabs engines do not have without going on for hours. I also don’t know what more you could ask for or what you were expecting besides the wx radar which is a msfs limitation.

Aerosoft is never gonna touch this plane again unfortunately. They are known for releasing planes and never updating them.
I love flying the RJ. More flights in this great airplane please!
Great video and addons!
One thing I surely love on the CRJ is that wiiiiiiide cockpit window. The side one is just great: no pillar and super large!

Many thanks!
Happy to hear that you like the flight dynamics 😊

I really admire your passion and the way you explain everything! Big 👍to you!

Umeå - Kiruna! Sweet
Also, the radio altimeter said 0 but the aircraft still said 10 when the mains touched the ground. Aerosoft
Hello, how did you change the color of the displays in the CRJ? What color settings are you using for the PFD's?

SAS also flies from Vaasa to Stockholm on the CRJ.
It's also flown with the ATR 72 if you want to go that route!

I have the exact same issue with AP in the CRJ, I wonder when they will update it
is this a better aircraft that the FSS e175-195?
I bought all those and I do enjoy them but they have numerous shortcomings that can be frustrating.
It’s very good and quite a complete simulation. I love it
It's that cold that the pilot wearing short sleeves has frozen in place, complete with roll along flight bag 😉

MSFS simulates correctly snow or its needed to have Rex AccuSeason for it?
Your pronunciations of Umeå and Kiruna are kinda funny :)
I honestly had no clue how to pronounce them at all, so I just looked at Wikipedia 😂

I thought your pronounciations were almost spot on, at least Umeå. Seriously good!@@A330Driver
Put in a hold in the CRJ. try it, it's a fun little gamble 😂
I prefer Russian Roulette 😂

The CRJ actually rules
Answer: perhaps because far enough north, the Sun doesn't set in the summer, whereas it doesn't rise in the winter?
Isn´t right that we have a good freeware Kiruna in MSFS (part of Nordic update)?
That touchdown on the 10 callout has been an issue for a lot of aircraft lately.
Indeed...
Aerosoft said ( months and months ago) that those crjs should arrive on Xbox... We are in 2024. I don't have hopes for the a330 on Xbox
Im pretty sure aerosoft are working and putting all efforts on the a330
When we will get the Crj-900 on Xbox?
