While it is possible Aku was sending monsters to attack, the fact that Aku is still trying to take over the world after a few hundred years seems impossible as at a point he would just do it himself. There is also an episode in PPG where a monster explains he comes from an island of monsters and they come to Townsville to fight the PPG because coming back alive is a great honor.
I have another theory. I think Adventure Time and an old Cartoon Network show called Flapjack take place in the same world. If you notice almost everyone on Flapjack seems to be covered in pimples or have diseased looking gums as part of a mutation. The water and sky are partially green. The infamous Cammie seems to be a mutant. K'Nuckles is blue as some sort of mutation. And the mysterious Candied Island might actually be the Candy Kingdom. And one more thing, they're both written by Theroup (don't know how to spell taht) VanNoman. All the citizens of Stormalong Harbor live there as it is far away from the mutated world and the mutants, such as say Ice Kings or Flame people or shapeshifting dogs. And have you noticed Flapjack has the same hair color, attitude, and caring nature as Finn? Perhaps Flapjack is Finn's father and K'Nuckles' influence turned Flapjack to a life of crime. I think I'm looking to hard into a cancelled cartoon XD
The fact you confidently said Teen Titan Go has a big fan base means you didn't do any research because not only is that show hated by everyone that's not 12 years old but also don't even consider it in any universe within DC.

I beleve lion is like lars and died but rose (who had sevrel lions) broght him back to life and made him pink and form a grassy feld and tree in his mane where rose has some importint things and is why steven is aloud in his mane becuse he has roses gem and the same happend to lars he died and steven broght him back turning him pink (thank u for ur time 😊😊
