I love that the main plot is Cleo being forced into marriage so her Dad and sister can rule the world but the subplot is that the world is ending. 😂😧

Medusa got done dirty af. Even her sisters Stheno and Euryale, except the rape part and they can't turn people into stone and were immortal.
Not to mention that Medusa has been used as a symbol for feminism and survivors of rape for thousands of years. She's a badass bitch who always deserved better.

@@conniedoesexist1807 I’m pretty that version of Medusa’s story is actually not the original story. That version was made by Ovid that caught on in popularity. Earlier versions of her myth has her born from the mother of many monsters and one of three gorgon sisters who were evil from the beginning as evident by older art and stories compared to Ovid’s metamorphosis.

Honestly, seeing how this is a kids movie and had a million plots, the plotholes were inevitable but at the same time since monster high is all about having fun and expressing yourself without shame, it's pretty on brand for a totally unknown creature to just show up out of the blue and everyone is just like, "ah sick a new friend. What's up?" Heck if you even want to go there, you could even say she was on a mission to find monster high with that fun clip they showed at the end lmao

Nefera was my gay awakening. I remember being so in love with her in this film that I asked my parents to buy a cactus and named it Nefera (idk why a cactus tho). I decorated the vase with stickers of mh and drawings of her, I put the cactus on my window it was like my shrine for her. I blame her for making me like evil women 😩😩😩

The new live action literally ruins the whole point of Cleo and Deuce's situation in the movie. She ditched the whole arranged marriage for Deuce and they threw that away by making him fall in love with clawdeen which by the way is SUPPOSED TO BE A CANNON LESBIAN 😭

my favorite part of this movie is that nefera chants for like a solid minute to use the crystal, then toralei just screams “give me catty voice” and it still works, then catty just touches and she gets her voice back. continuity 👏🏻

Seriously, ever since the first time I saw this movie I fell in love with Catty Noir and Mousecedes.
But more towards Catty tho, since the girl's skin is literally pitch black, where any light colored things would probably be absorbed by the darkness.
But lo and behold she slayed her makeup and outfits. And I thought that she's literally the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in MH.
Somehow I used to relate to her because middle school me was an artist with an art block, and well had a very hard time accepting my own skin color because of the racism within my family. So yeah, I love catty just for how beautiful she is inside and out, such a talented queen too also.
And like, the little me who fell in love with her turned from an insecure stuck up kid to a carefree girl filled with the confidence to dress however I want.
