Followed Captain Raydor and Rusty Beck from the last episode of The Closer all the way through Major Crimes. Love them, love Mary McDonnell and Graham Patrick Martin. Great work, great shows, great actors!

Fr. First two season are watchbale. Even if it didn't make sense to take a teenager on a murder case and watch all the murder cases at headquarters. After criminal minds, I found it hard to find a crime show that doesn't involve unnecessary drama and really revolves around the show. Rusty makes it pretty hard to watch though. I don't know why they're trying to force him onto one of the main characters when he's really just a side character. If Raydor leaves the series, he is automatically no longer there. I don't know if the actor is asking for more screentime even if it doesn't make sense to give him more screentime after season 2 and the fall of stroh. Rusty is also a very unsympathetic character who only thinks about himself and has narcissistic traits. Just seeing them bring back Stroh just for drama, ratings and just to including rusty doesn't make sense to look any further.

IMO the Sharon-Rusty relationship is the heart of Major Crimes. It wouldn't have much to stand on without it.
It's definitely the heart of the show! It's what drew me in to watch it!
Major Crimes was a good police show anyways. The crew had chemistry. But, the Sharon/Rusty relationship made it even better.
I'm as broken as Rusty and have always loved this storyline.
