when browsing for books to read, i always look for book reviews. april was certainly an interesting reading month but i found some new favorite books nonetheless. that is why i bring you a recent reads wrap up that quickly turned into a very chatty video about the books i read in april and me losing my mind over some of the new book releases of 2024. booktube and booktok have buzzed about some of these books… but did i enjoy them? i hope you guys enjoy this one and come out with more books to add to your TBR and some good book recommendations for 2024!

In case you haven't heard about it yet, Dr Kathleen Martinez is a woman who has become the first person to even come close to finding Cleopatras tomb! It's so cool and she's planning another expedition to keep searching for it soon!

🐦My favorite of my May reads was an anticipated new release, A Gentleman in Search of a Wife by Grace Burrows. 5th in the Lord Julian regency-set historical mysteries. The books are under 300 pages. I really enjoy the main character, Lord Julian, who was a prisoner of war in the Napoleonic Wars and returns to England with physical and emotional damage and the (incorrect) reputation of being a traitor to his country.

the bridgerton book is at least still better compared to the drama. Have watched the S3 pt 1 & 2(just released). Still prefer books at least.
