Yea, the computer instantly wanted to take the knight. The win is not immediately apparent, at least for this human, but after playing a few what-if lines, it becomes clear that white quickly mops up.
Dubov has shown a certain knack to play in the so-called neural network style. He gladly enters positions where's he's down even 3 pawns(!) as long as his opponent's pieces are restricted with no clear way to liberate themselves. Very reminiscent of the games A0 and Leela are able to pull out against Stockfish. Stockfish just isn't able to see deep enough to realize that the extra material will never matter if the pieces can't untangle. Here Anton was on the receiving end of this smackdown but suffered the same fate as Stockfish did in those games. Great, enterprising chess!
Saw it in under a second, which I am happy about. But I feel it is different to find such moves in a real game. You also have to be confident on your calculation and on the the position that follows. Not easy to make such moves.

Chess comment of the year 😂😂😂
Dubov really wants to win the Game of The Year title... :D
12:55 Maybe Ra5 was a mouse-slip? Was intending to take the knight but let go a square early?
Maybe. It's a good guess.

Even so, ...d4 after Ra5 goes some way towards securing victory for white as it stands
Yes, a Split Rooks t-shirt and an Octopus Knight t-shirt! I sure will get some of these. Great analysis also!
2:17 Danny almost pre-emptively refers to the Dubov-Karjakin games as Game of the Year. It's fair to say that it's the short-priced favourite :)
Dubov is just so much fun to watch. This analysis was great, thank you! Just subbed to the channel.
Intertaining. Had a good time watching

Instead of gxf6 would it be good for Anton if he sacrificed the exchange with Rxf6
