They were new take-offs from an rtr SCX10 Dingo, that seen about 15 minutes of runtime on my front lawn...still have the body with spare and bumpers, that were removed at the same time. Mr C, if memory serves, during the Rock Lizard review, you had said Rear View, which I think would be a perfect name for reviewing the old, unavailable stuff
I agree there needs to be more variety of bodies how about a 70's Dodge or a Internation harvester truck or some thing from the 50's anything but another jeep or square body! Thanks as always.
Chunks flaking off aside, its amazing those foams are still pretty much as they were when new in 2011. Back then, the tire carcas profiles and compounds were not as dialed in. So to compensate a lot of the foams were exceedingly soft to still allow the tire to conform correctly.
Interestingly I just happen to be reverting my Dingo back to “stock-ish” form from its many previous forms. The “stock” Proline FlatIrons were NOT G8 (I still have them and occasionally run them with some lugs removed in the winter dirt and mud). I have my barely used Flatiron G8’s that I’m putting back on that I purchased to upgrade the much harder Axial factory shipped FlatIrons back in the day. My quite old G8’s are still soft and quite usable. Fun review!!
I have a set that came with my og honcho kit still kicking around definitely not as clean as yours thought I may have to wash them in dish soap and give them a go
They need to be shimmed, as the Fusk is the same size as the Tusk. Fimondas fit without shimming, but unless the rig is over 7lbs (closer to 8, really) you'll have to cut ribs out.
I don't think it's the compound itself, as it's inconsistent between tires. I've got a lot of proline tires in G8, and the hyrax has cracked exactly the same, all around the beadlock, while my other sets are just as old and not cracked at all. Maybe bad batches, and kind of luck of the draw, but it's not good
I like the RetroView name. Unless you tell me to make a 3rd table for this type of tires, they go on the one that the video title says This tire is the 3rd one getting a 94.0 score, tied with the Injora Swamp Claws and 2.2 Tusks on 14th place Fun fact, this tire is the smallest that appears on the Tire List with their 106mm (QuickView), followed by the baby KLeRMS at 110mm (JunkView), and then a lot of 114 tires on both QuickView and JunkView
Nostalgia view, historic view like the copper historic plates. Time Machine view, bill and teds review, pay phone booth view. Flip phone view, primeval review, geriatric review, genesis review. Idk love the rig want to buy just for the body🤦♂️ poor financial decisions this hobby creates. You have verified my hate for my over priced spektrum dx5c absolute battery hog even with my onyx 2.0amp rechargeable oh and not to mention seriously no dam back lit screen. I’ll just buy my gt5’s or I’m going to try your radio link. I spent some time dicking with that front links on the red clap marksman. It’s a hey little Johnny drive this or trailing. 😂. The company is a dam lier they all must be hi as shit!! Junk

REARview LOL. I loved the old G8 Irons and still use the custom sets I made some 10 odd years ago!
23:17 🤩👍🔥

I have that exact issue of RC Action in the basket right beside my “throne”
I recently gained custody of a set of these. Really good in the Woods. I like them a lot. 👍 A Shame that size is not in sale anymore...
I can say that G8 was better in the "early days." The non-XL Flat Irons are just all-around better than the newer XLs.
I think these came on the RTR Dingo when it first came out. I still have the spare.
Here from the live stream 👌👌

how do the injora blues fit in fusks

I agree with you about we need more Toyota body’s are should I say more affordable Toyota body’s and old Jeep body
I missed the last half of live due to RC related events. lol but I'm glad to get some more content even if it's proline stuff.
yes
I literally said that was sick at the same time at you! What just happened!
Can you do a review on extra long link risers I'll even send you one

Haha he’s so flimsy like a weasel or you like speed up the film 1.5x compared to baseline. Like the smaller flat iron 👌
