She's a beautiful little girl and the adopted parents look sweet and gentle. The little girl was fortunate to have a family and she will surely appreciate that. If she's given more time to get to know her adopted parents I suspect that she'd not have that fearful look in her eyes. I've watched may TH-cam videos on adoption and have seen soome cases where the child would burst into joy not tears when they saw the parents. One case was a Russian adoption of a 2-year old child. The parents had come to Russia a few times to visit the child and on their last trip they were required to spend one week with the child, each time they would spend one hour alone to bond with her. When they came to the orphanage to pick her up, the child could not contain her joy. She clasped her hands excitedly when she saw them and tore herself from the arms of her nanny to run into their arms with a big grin on her face. I appreciate that circumstances are difficult for parents who adopt children overseas, but the adoption agency needs to make an effort to create opportunities for parents to bond with the child before they take the child home. I see so many cases, especially from China,, when the kid was ripped off the arms of the nanny or shoved into the arms of the parents without warning. What ended up was tears and cries from the traumatised child and anxiety and heartbreak from the poor parents.
