Arty is spot on when he says the people who have shunned you will end up having the exact same views. (while still shunning you as if you are extremists) Which shows how ruddy bloody brave you all are. Hats off.

The wisdom of Terry Pratchett. Early in the Discworld novel series, useless wizzard Rincewind saves the multiverse from invasion by things with tentacles for faces by the judicious wielding of a brick in a sock. In a later novel it emerges that the Unseen University has brushed over this unfortunate episode in its history. A tentative suggestion that Rincewind be rewarded for his bravery is dismissed in committee, progressively downgraded and eventually emerges in institutional form as a 'formal reprimand for being improperly dressed'.
We take this stand because we are the generation of women that is called upon to take it. We do it because it is the right thing to do. Not because of how we wish to be remembered.

Arty, I think the reason those friends might not come back is because you are an inconvenient reminder to them of how wrong they were. And of course, in your company they wouldn't be able to pretend that they've always been on the side of reason and reality.

Arty is 100% right about the friends not coming back. An ex-friend of mine posted something gender critical on Instagram (we’d had a lot of discussions on this) and when I commented something in support of her she blocked me.

Time has not only been taken away from feminists, but from anyone who cares about any other issues. Not enough people pay attention to issues affecting wildlife,- conservation, animal welfare, biodiversity, pollution, etc. I'm one who does. Yet, I've been distracted by this insanity because it was a literal emergency threatening children, women, & decent LGB people who oppose the gender identity ideology cult.

I watched some of the Republicans grilling that Biden judicial nominee on the Forbes YT channel. I read quite a ways down the page in the comments to find out she was NOT confirmed! I discovered that Senator Jon Ossoff was the lone Democrat who voted with the Republicans against the nominee. If you live in the U.S., please send him a note of thanks. We need to support Dems who show courage in defying this cult & their DNC enablers.

So grateful for the work you all are doing to defend women, children, free speech, and rational thought.
Regarding the massive numbers of women supporting this, I do think women are more apt to support the prevailing social order - to a point. I think that comes from the fact that if society collapses women would fare very badly.
All that said, I also think the prevalence of porn has a lot to do with all the women supporting this - they don’t want to be what porn defines women as being, but they don’t want to oppose porn either.
I really didn’t think about women’s fear of society collapsing and that being the reason we’re so anxious to be the social glue and the “be kind” crowd. Thanks for making my little grey cells work.
Interesting! In families it's also mostly (always?) the women and girls trying to keep everything together. I really am wondering how not every woman is a terf by default.
The trans/gender ideology issue has shown me, how many people are just dumb/naive, opportunists with no principles or plain evil.

4 of my fave GC people in one video! I looked at the website for the WDI USA Convention in September. I'd consider going but, while I saw the schedule, I didn't see the price, and paying for a place to stay is usually a problem with events I'd like to attend. I'm super fortunate that the Origins Game Fair is right here in Columbus so I just travel back & forth from home for those 5 days. (I am a boardgame hobbyist so I never miss Origins.)
