as weird as the inconsistent shoes in the dreamcast version of the cutscene are, the fact that they switch to the soap shoes as soon as sonic jumps off makes me think he switched them right before jumping off, which is really hilarious
1:09 fun fact, sense segas sponsorship with soap shoes was so late into development, they needed to switch out all art and models of sonics shoes to adapt to the new Branding, but in the Dreamcast version of sonic 2 this is the only cutscene where the original sonic shoes where left in.
I know how the plot is kinda that Shadow frames Sonic but Sonic really is a criminal in this game. In the first cutscene someone is the helicopter says that he took out everyone on board and in City escape he runs over a bunch of cars and destroys the place.
Athesies It’s better than the later versions. The mixing is still sorta bad but the cutscene graphics are better. Lighting actually exists, characters have correct colors, and transparency works.
6:41 one thing Dreamcast did better on, shadow lighting. Now one can assume that maybe its unrealistic if ceiling light is on. But its just a good visual effect
Dreamcast’s cutscenes are better than Battle. I don’t know how they messed up Battle’s cutscenes by just remodeling the characters and everything but skipping out on checking if the cutscenes were also good to go with the revamped models. I mean come on! Sonic’s ear moves at the post Big Foot boss when he notices Shadow. Battle doesn’t have that kind of level of detail.
How come both G.U.N. And the Police have a difficult time telling Sonic and Shadow a part? I mean Sonic is just a blue hedgehog while the Ultimate Lifeform Hedgehog that escaped Prison Island is a black hedgehog with white fur around his neck and has red highlights on his hair. Are the humans of this world are just color blind?
IIrc Sonic was presumably used as a scapegoat by G.U.N., as Shadow originated from their own military. The news spreaded word about a super fast hedgehog who wreaks havoc, and who else would be a better patsy for a cover-up arrest than a closely resembling doppelgänger?
I really miss this Sonic voice

Incorrect: They were also in the DC version of Dark's rocket launch scene
@@SCOUTSnailgun they edited all scenes last Minute, so of they forgot one
24:36 this line is so intense especially with the music . I get chills whenever he says it
Dreamcast version superior in lighting and shadows.

Aww i thought the dreamcast version was better with sound mixing, but i still can hardly hear the voices over the music sometimes :/

@@theobserver4214What do you mean by “transparency?”
@@beta511ee4 graphically. Stuff like fences, or windows, they display stuff behind them properly, several examples are in SA1 but it also effects SA2.

That’s why Dreamcast version is expensive af and cool af if you own it.
@@JSwag_ReviewsYou know what’s funny? The Dreamcast version is on PS3 for like twenty dollars and for some reason, battle is a DLC.
@@TheRobloxianBeatSabertist 120 dollars complete right now for Dreamcast. I think it will go up when Sonic 3 releases!
Also, Battle's sound mixing is EXTENSIVELY worse than the DC version.
does anyone know the music during 12:19
The track in the ost is called "the base"
