I have a vintage 59dc3 deluxe that was the first electric guitar I’d ever seen and played most my life to this day. I’ve got a 90s 59dc2 nos as well now that is right in line. I’m enamored with this guitar as it’s reissue very similar to my old one and the aesthetics are similar to my gibson Les Paul custom ebony. Kind of think I need one. Lolol
This sounds great! Looks pretty slick too! The double cream binding over black gives it a nice classy touch. The other colors look great t oo. dark burgundy, dark blue, and red
Well, you've done it again. More gear I didn't know I needed until now! Love those lipstick pickups, recently installed some in a Hamer Prototype. Great sound. And less hum than a Strat!
Sweet Danolectro, was not aware of this model. Missed opportunity is a mini toggle or push pull to engage neck pup with the bridge pup. Easy mod tho. Im gonna check online for one now. Thanks!
Thank you kindly for this demo! I’m still torn between this one and the stock 59. I actually like the look of the guard on the Stock and the wood bridge - but 3 pickups would open up some more play styles I suppose 😩
From what I gather, AlNiCo VI is not quite as powerful as V, but maybe more than II. Funny that dues to the construction of the guitar, and maybe pickup characteristics, the bridge sound has a similar guttural sound to a Tele middle pos. Anyway, they really seemed to get it right with these new Korean versions. It sounds just gorgeous.
I have a Danelectro I purchased in '98 that has a 6 numbered dial with 4 lipstick pickups. I havent seen my guitar anywhere and I can't find it online. The dial says select d matic
Well! It seems I have to take back some mighty prejudice I had about Danelectro, although I am not ashamed the looks til now fooled me. I am still not a fan of the 'plastic' esthetics of this guitar, but the sounds from it are more than reservedly good!
Sounding great, Brett! Dig the new space also. Well done :)
Cheers, Shane!
Thanks!

Hui, it has a lot of "quack", that's great!
Nice but kinda a one trick pony
