Equal Vision gets props for signing a lot of great bands the past decade but sadly none of them get their due recognition (A Lot Like Birds, Hail The Sun, Nova Charisma, Calling All Captains). Waterparks got lucky and moved on to a bigger label.
The covers.... especially the Of Machines on is INSANELY good! The Do Re Mi one is pretty damn good too. And then there's the acoustic versions of their older songs,.....I really like their newer sound from the past 2 albums, but those older tracks and how they went acoustic versions with some really sold me on this band....and that was back before they released Do You Feel Okay. Kyle has such an amazing voice to begin with back in the older stuff but these newer albums he's really finding all of his talent in ranges he can sing! I'm so hyped for the next release this band does cause they are doing something very good here!
Hella reminds me of the bands I grew up with in Denver. One of my High School best friend's and his brother were Victory Heights and New Fiction, Hopeless takes me back to going to Battle of the Bands to support them and all the groups that played there. Fuck I miss those days.

Idk, I would consider 3 year gaps as a hiatus. They don't typically drop singles in that time, and if they do it's typically been cover works. A lot of contemporary artists today drop consistent music, some almost monthly. Picturesque also doesn't be touring like that, so, 3 year gaps feel like a hiatus to me. Just glad to have some fresh content either way tho. 👍
