    For hardwood floors, use felt pads under furniture instead of wheels which can mark the wood.

      I was just about to comment! All my furniture (table, chairs, sofa) have felt pads so moving things around is easy

    I DIY wall sconces with Dollar Tree and Walmart materials. I added battery powered pick lights, that change color. The red light matches the colors of my bedroom, and is very relaxing before I go to sleep.

    Hey KB can you do a video on styling irregular shaped spaces? Especially rooms with a rounded walls!

    KB thanks for the video. For someone like me who often buys not to scale this was very helpful. Looking forward to redoing my living / dining area. Would love to see a video on how to make your open space feel separate but not blend in together too much.

    I can attest to the wheels also for balconies! I just converted all my DIY plants and benches to wheels so I can move everything according to the season and when having a lot of people outside.

    We have a medicine cabinet hidden behind a piece of art in our bathroom. Mirrors are great, but you don’t need a dozen in your bathroom…really.

    FYI: I ❤️‍🔥extensively use stretched canvas over KALLAX wall units❤️‍🔥 (all on lockable industrial wheels! keep the heavy stuff on the bottom 3 rows)
    If you buy stretchers that fit the grid, you can set up patterns, hide the boxes on the units, & then you have ❤️‍🔥somewhere to hang your own Art❤️‍🔥

    Thank you, you saved me from buying a short, but deep modular sofa. Seems that it is time for shelfs, which I wanted to avoid ( minimalistic), but to have everything in storage on the floor isn't nice, too. Good tipps👍

      My condo is 850-900 sf. I bought apartment sized modular furniture and sets of longer legs from Amazon. Same effect but with the flexibility of modular furniture.

    Hi Kiva
    you can google furniture wheels. They sell all kinds. Some are very nice. Yes locking wheels and maybe if it’s a heavy piece a rubber wrapped wheel so you don’t ruin your wood floors or create dents in vinyl. Also if you have carpeting moving men plastic slides are great. But you need help getting them on it. I leave them on in my upright piano so I can shove it to get to my outlets. Those nice brass Casters are for looks. Not practical to move furniture. You look terrific in that brownish vest ! I’m about to watch your next shopping post. Have a nice weekend🙂

    Please don't put wheels on bookcases. If you have tons of books, the weight will just break the wheels. If you only use them for decorative purposes then I suppose this would work, but not if you have very heavy items on them.

      @@AllisonMoon-SheWandersFeral I live in a small house with small rooms. And I like it.

    • @jvnd2785
      @jvnd2785 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AllisonMoon-SheWandersFeral, some people like it roomy and airy...and feel claustrophobic in small, cluttered rooms. Some people like those small spaces more. Personally, I love my bedroom to be/look as tiny as possible...and dark. I could never get a proper rest in a large, white room with empty counter tops (just the idea makes me shiver). It feel so cold and alien. Give me a single bed with a few feet of space around it, with medium brown walls around me and I will sleep like a log every night, feeling comforted by the dark, cave-like space. I guess the same applies to my workshop (I am a craftsman). I prefer a small, heavily-cluttered space with a low ceiling in beiges/browns to a big, airy, white room. Claustrophobia is obviously not an issue with me.
      I am moving houses right now and I refused to rent a house with a large , airy bedroom with high walls and bay windows. It may look desirable to some folks, but I shiver at the idea of cold floors while all the heat warms up a ceiling that I cannot even reach (like any other human I am subjected to earth's gravity, I don't live on the walls/ceiling to feel the benefit of a heated ceiling).
