This man's stuff seems to get better over time, like a Vine wine
Oh dear :(
Oh yeah!
'Fine Vine' would have been better considering 'vine' is the root of the word 'wine'.
@@maxpayne354 what does he mean by that, what does he mean.... what does he mean by that????
Bad joke police will ... take money from ... you.
A totally underrated comedian, Tim Vine is the personification of good clean fun.
Couldn't agree more 👍
the man is a genius, always cracks me up
You won't get a single swear word in his act. Went to see his show in Blackpool couple of years ago and he brought the house down. Its all play with words and bit of sillyness thrown in.

@Demon 1 how on earth did you come to that conclusion?
The set up for the 'bear rings' joke was genius.
That ventriloquist act is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. Makes me proud to be British. Utterly bonkers and makes no sense but the result is tears of laughter
British comedy at its best often looks very close to a mental breakdown, it's a subtle line between the two.
At first I was disappointed that he wasn't good till the inception of bad ventriloquism took place. Pure Brilliance. The fact that there is a surplus of very unfunny actual ventriloquists makes it all the better too.
Me too. I am genuinely in tears right now. And I'm struggling to breathe
Tim's far too nice to do this "straight" but it really is the perfect sketch showing that ventriloquism is absolutely shit. God, the man's a genius.
Well ....tears anyway..... what does he mean by that?? What does he mean?? What does he mean by that???...
"yeah, for a living." That. hit. the. spot.
That was great. Makes the whole set worth it 😂
I’ve seen him do a similar thing where the punchline is ‘yeah, 2 hours.’ Equally as funny.
Phil's SW Weight Loss Diary 02:06.
😂😂
Tim Vine will always be my fav, i hope he comes back to Melbourne!
The ultimate comedian on so many levels. Daft, brilliant timing, facial expression, props but behind it is a total genius. Clean, family entertainment. Very rare. Love the guy. Check out his Plastic Elvis. The man can sing and play numerous instruments oh and silly songs. Dont know how he does it.
The King of the Dad joke, love him.
Nah, he's been telling jokes long before everyone lost their sense of humor and jokes weren't considered funny anymore.
@Random Scottish Bloke Lol, nope. I'm not a Boomer, nor a dad, yet I still like telling jokes. I have a sense of humor. Go figure.
@Random Scottish Bloke Well, it's just annoying how whenever anyone tells a joke or a pun they're automatically labeled as dad jokes and considered unfunny. People should stop and enjoy life more. 🤷
@@johnd5931 its usually used for basic puns and wordplay, which i hate to break it to you but they're generally considered on the lower end of the humour spectrum.
Not to assume, but if you're getting told by different people that you're telling dad jokes, then maybe your jokes aren't that funny any more. At least not to those people. Remember that the collective sense of what's funny changes all the time, and some of the old classics like "hi hungry, im dad" etc are just going to reach a point where they've been milked for everything they have.
"You either die a class clown, or you live long enough to see yourself become the dad"
Anyway like the Scottish bloke said- its not necessarily always derogatory, sometimes its just kind of like that groan people make when you say a pun - they don't actually hate you but to laugh at such jokes would do their intelligence a disservice. Thats part of the problem with Tim Vine. Hes good clean fun for the whole family, but at the expense of the full attention of the more discerning members of the crowd, who feel a bit as if a co-worker is trying to entertain us by dangling their keys in front of our faces. Not quite patronising, just... low brow, what can I say? 🤷♂️
Consider trying some jokes based around slightly higher order language tricks, like a double entendre related to funny genital words (you can't go wrong with sexual stuff - people love sex).
In my experience, puns tend to only work if you've set your tone as quite deadpan and dry beforehand, and make it almost as if you're completely unaware of the spelling "error" you just made. Then when people inevitably correct you, you can just sit on it and wait for the coin to drop. Its not a typical pun delivery and for the recipient it isn't even funny, but with puns the best you're really hoping for on youtube is someone to waft by months later and post "I see what you did there... nice" and thats it.
Sadly, the really popular jokes I see on most videos are just top comments stolen from other sites or videos and pasted wherever they're vaguely relevant. Half the viewers don't seem to know the difference, or care.
But all this belies the true point- who are you being funny for? Once I realised that I was posting my jokes for my own amusement, it opened up a whole new world of sarcastic innuendo, obscure references and derisive mockery. I don't care if people don't understand what I wrote or why it would be funny. Im having a good time and that's all I'm here to do, anyway. Sometimes I'll get a nod or two as like a "yep, we acknowledge what that was" but i think if you're hoping to get some sort of virtual Jerry Seinfeld type reception with accolades and back pats, then youtube comments isn't the place to find it.
Ps sorry for the wall of text. Bad habit
@@swine13 I didn't read your whole comment, life's too short. But I LOVE dad jokes. I have 2 'Dad Jokes' joke books, very funny. Lighten up.
He’s like a kids entertainer for adults. Great stuff
"Yeah, for a living." Just incredible!

Very funny.
I was on my way to Buckingham Palace to cut Prince Phillips hair,. I stopped at the police security gate and explained who I was and what my purpose for the visit was. The Policeman in a aggressive tone shouted to me permit no I said short back and sides.
*...shouted to me, “Permit?”
I said, “No. etc.”
Have you ever read a book?
Totally, gloriously silly and bloody funny... Love Tim Vine.
Tim Vine is always brilliant but the ventriloquist bit has got to be one of his funniest, it's so great!
We saw the full show at MICF, absolutely joyous fun. The whole crowd adored him.
Love this guy. No swearing just great humour
Fucking hilarious.
I was in tears of laughter watching this 😂
I saw Tim Vine last year, he had me laughing all the way through! I love his type of humour, best comedian I have seen & i'd love to see him again!
Tim vine is brilliant comedian,
He is one of the best one liners out there, period...
I apologise on behalf of the world that no one got your joke
Dunno why I laughed the most when him and the puppets were just rapidly glancing each other.
It's because ventriloquism is shit and that's what all ventriloquists do. But Tim is a nice, clean comedian so he just plays it naturally, and it's funny because he is so exaggerated in his movement but that's exactly what ventriloquists do. So it's familiar yet unfamiliar at the same time.
And now it's not funny because I've deconstructed the joke.
@@ignoblesurfer6281 Don’t let Stewart Lee hear you say that!
I love the way there's a ton of stand up comedians complaining about political correctness and Tim is just vibing because his jokes have always been clean lol
Trust me, Twatter will find an excuse to cancel anyone.
@@Revelian1982 ahh the paradox of twitter... cancels people yet those that are cancelled build entire comedic routines about how they were 'cancelled'.
@@lukefreeman828 They'd rather not be cancelled in the first place, if you asked them.
Dancing and signing with some Teddys on a hoop:
Tim: "I'm 52 years old."
One day he'll wind up an old man.
No one does silly comedy perfectly likeTim Vine. Utterly ridiculous fun.
he's done the ventriloquism puppet before but it's still gold and there was a lot of other new material so it's all good! Tim Vine is a genius
Dave S Dave S I really like him but I was waiting for the ventriloquism one to have a great punch line and was such an anti climax
Tim Vine is quite simply the most exemplary example of good clean comedic entertainment since sliced bread! His laughter medicine intertwined with his theories regarding the incongruous , paradoxical nature of thought-based absurdities never ceases to amaze!
Personally I was most impressed with his piano playing at the Fra' Diablo Theater, Truro on November 5th , 2016...in which his s o n g s " The British History Of Tea" & " Niccolò Paganini And Dark Lucy In The Summer Of 1833 " quite literally made me question the very existence of God, Reality and black holes beyond my own subjectivity.
A very clever fellow indeed!

Love Tim Vine's act. Im so glad he returned. Ive seen him twice now at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and I cry with laughter. Both times ive been lucky to participate too. Ive come back here to watch his dummy act as it wasnt in the show, but his teddy on a hoop was and it was just as funny the second time.
Unless you tell us how funny it was first time, that tells us very little.
“Couldn’t find my bear-rings” 😂

Much needed silliness in the midst of this covid misery😁
BLESS YOU TIME VINE!, a naturally funny man and Gr8 timing too, he understands what is utterly absurd and ridiculous and elevates it to the Sublime, and i ***LOVE*** this *Ventriloquism* routine... (*Who said that ?*)...:)
He makes you laugh. And happy. That's rare.
Loved this guy. What a star.
The level of dexterity and concentration involved in doing this routine can’t be underestimated. He does do a longer version with extra puppets. It’s funny.
Absolute brilliant comedian !
I still laugh every time...love the puppets...well done Tim...just brilliant..
I've seen Tim a few times at Babbacombe Theatre, always great fun and great to share the fun with my kids. John Archer is also brilliant!
I do wish more comedians would try to perfect the art of family stand up. I dont even have children but I still feel like almost everyone these days heads towards more toilet humour cause the laughs are easier, but i have so much more respect for someone who can take an audience thats so used to filth and smut and all that (im a ricky Gervais fan, for example), and then still make them laugh like mad with nothing but clever wordplay, storytelling and precise delivery.
Have you heard of Dry Bar comedy? They do specials where the comedians have to come on and do a clean set and they've had a bunch of really talented people on there. Id recommend the following if you get time (in alphabetical order):
Arvin mitchell
Chelle T
Drew Allen
Drew Barth
Erica Rhodes
Jessica Campbell
Josh Blue
Josh Sneed🥇
Kellen Erskine
Orlando Baxter🥉
Robert Mac
Shayne Smith
Zoltan Kaszas🥈
I gave medals to my favourite ones but they're all great except maybe Erica she might not be everyone's cup of tea but I liked her.
Love "absurdist" comedy. Fits so well in Australia.
Legend. Just ridiculous and it's great to see the crowd start to get it and let themselves go.
Funniest thing I've ever seen!
Fun, energetic And original. Love him!

First time ive seen this guy he was great! Haha
i nearly pissed myself laughing, as the second time he says ''hit the music please'' you can vaguely hear someone utter ''ooh ffs''

I've never seen him do that ventriloquest act before, but it was inspired!
3.23, I can't see properly - because of the tears, and I've got a stitch through laughing.... Here's hoping the bladder can make it to the end of the clip🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love puns and he is the king
Tears runnig down my face watchin the ventrilist act😂
That was the funniest ventriloquism I have ever seen. I haven't laughed so hard for such long time.
That really added to the comedy experience, seeing the back of his head....
Tim ...you make me laugh every time...just funny funny...brilliant
Just wonderful 😂
At one time he held the world record for most jokes told in one hour. 499

Tim Vine is known for his one liners. He seems to have added another string to his bow (well I haven't seen this before). His new direction: 'slightly bonkers' comedy?

I must say that im not really a fan of 1 line comedians as their comedy only works for a short time but this whole act with puppets was fucking world class. I love that it makes no sense and all the puppet's mouths are moving as if they're all shit ventriloquists too. Brilliant.
