    Jake, this is the most incredible reef video outside of a National Geographic publication. Thank you for publishing this. I hope it wakes up people. Using coral for concrete production. Wow. A villager who could be paving the way for reef conservation. I hope this wakes up people that manage the environment via a desk. We can provide solutions and it might be as simple as planting coral frags that are around the region. Well done!!!

    Jake your videos never cease to amaze me, between you and Than at Tidal Gardens I have learned most of knowledge of coral, and when someone gets me going on my reef I can talk for hours. I wouldn't have that knowledge without you guys. Thanks for working to showcase the efforts of people like Simon, his attitude and the work that he has done shows off what can be done if coral is given space to grow and love. Keep up the great work!

I literally cry real tears of happiness right now that some people care to make this stay with us into the future. I have so much respect for the life in my litle 60g reef now and I will love the shit out of every litle piece of life in it even more.

    I run plasma lighting on my reef and man the colour looks very close to the shallow water environment, however most of what you shots look like it was done under T5 lighting, it makes me wonder why T5 is still the boss when it comes to SPS. Thank you for the awesome experience, I hope to go diving this year after my health gets better.

    Watching this, paying attention the the little specks of "marine snow" passing by these colonies and realizing how toned down the flow is. As I wait for another 4k gph powerhead to be delivered today.

    Can people like this comment as I would like to communicate that there is a program out there that preforms color correction for the camera making the video more accurate. I don't believe it can be applied to the videos already created as it needs a color profile next to coral to reference. It would create a more immersive experience for us and you only need the licensing to use it.

    Heard Simon say they destroy corals to make lime, but there's so many coral skeletons it seems that with a little bit more effort they could get plenty of material to make lime with without destroying the living corals.

    • @ReefBuildersVideo
      @ReefBuildersVideo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They want specific types of corals to make lime, which is used to activate the alkaloids of beetlenut which they chew for a buzz
