    it sets off the alarm to protect the wine? How? It will surely inform the owner that the refrigerator is not working but how is it going to protect the wine?

    Dont you dare put your wine storage in a hot room. Instead put it within an inch of a high output professional series range.😂😂😂😂

    This was a good starting point. It lacked the details that would seem to be more important. thanks for your effort.

    you don't need multiple temp zone if you are aging your wine, just get a single temp wine fridge

    I own an under the counter SubZero under the counter, I see in the video wine temps of 46 degrees for whites and 65 for reds. Are these good general points for a dual zone frig?

      Don't know about whites, but most reds should be stored at around 55 degrees. Served at 63-65. So, when you take your red wine out of storage, please let it sit on the counter for at least 35 minutes before uncorking. This allows the wine to come up to serving temperature. Then, uncork wine and let the wine sit around for a little while longer to open up. About 30 minutes to one hour. You can always decant a nicer wine, but it's really not necessary. One can get any kind of very inexpensive glass beverage serving pitcher to decant.

      @@leonlamar8341 thanks for the advice! I always take the special occasion reds out and try to accelerate the "breathing" via an aerator. It seems like a fancy shortcut and I'm wondering if the concept is too good to be true.

    Wine Refrigerator = $1,500, Wine Storage = $5,000, Wine Guardian = $100,000. Or you can just pop the cork and enjoy your wine.

    So is "wine storage system" a PR euphemism for "super expensive wine cooler fridge that only rich people can afford"...?

      Or is it a display kabinet to not only show of your expensive wines, but also the the fact that you have money to burn on useless pieces of equipment.
      As a wine lover: You put wine in a cellar to protecht it fron 3 things:
      1. Temperature fluctuations
      2. An atmosphere that is to dry or too humid
      3. Protect form UV light.
      That's why you shouldn't have clear glass in a wine storage cabinet. In addition: That huge door changes the humidity of the air inside, as well as the temperature within seconds.
      It's better to keep your wine in a dark closet. Gradual temp changes are never a problem. Any temp between 10C/50F and 30C/90F should be fine, just as long as changes are gradual. Put an oil drum of water next to your bottles to keep temps more constant.

    How does the alarm save the wine?

    • @jonathanmark4306
      @jonathanmark4306 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would notify that it has stopped working so you have time to save it. Sometimes wine coolers stop working and you only realise weeks or months later, which is likely to happen if you're aging the wine and not using the cooler all that often.

    Wine refrigerators must emit vibrations which can break down a wine. Correct?

  • @winestorageguide1715
    @winestorageguide1715 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Good advice about placement of your wine refrigerator - too many people do stick them somewhere out of the way like the garage. If you live in a warm climate, the fridge will run all the time and potentially not even get the wine to the right temperature.
