I was a driver for Ruan transport.
I hauled cement blew it into silos or pig tanks for road work. I loved it but was laid off in winter!! That sucked. Don’t quit hang in there. I always want to go back and go o/op and just drive! Sell my shit and just drive.

I've had my Class A since 1995. Been company and O/O. Drove 48 states, SE Regional, and local on and off since '95. I know the frustrating feeling for sure, especially the NE. A bad day can have me thinking what the heck am I thinking. But then I will get a load that takes me to awesome places I never would have known existed and sometimes meet cool people along the way. Seems everything is a trade off. I prefer OTR now since I'm single, but if I had bills/house/relationship ect. I would only drive local, or dedicated regional at most. Getting paid to travel is still the best job I've ever had.

Cindy, its wonderful seeing you and I love your choice of music and editing. 1st off you don't have to apologize to us. When I say us I mean your true fans who love and care for you. We know what your doing is not easy in any way. Heck, you can do things I cant and you do it very well. I cant drive a 18 speed. Have you ever thought of doing a vid of just the sound of you driving with the scenery? You know how to shift really good.
Anyway my heart bleeds for you, I feel bad your going through some tuff times. I'm having a rough time myself, I lost my dad recently and 4 days later my dog had to be put down. I inherited his house and a ton of stuff I have no idea how I'm going to get rid of, but it is so lonely being in that house right now. He was always there and now he's not. Silly thing is my job is what's keeping me sane but I like to be home too.
I'm sad this is no fun for you anymore. I really think you need a long vacation without driving to think about what you need to do. I really believe you have many talents, your good at editing you said you used to sell reality. I really hope you dont quit trucking, maybe you can hook up as a company driver for a while. Honestly with how things are going these days I cant imagine owning my own truck. I still want to. But it is just so expensive for the average person. Look at it this way, your still at it. You haven't failed. I believe in you cindy. Wish there was a way I could meet you out of the blue, I'd try to make your day better some how.. Your a great role model and I'm a big fan of your vids. Hope you can get some rest, think things out with a fresh mind. If you need anything let me know.

PressedEarth lol, that’s what I was trained to do from day one so it’s kinda hard doing the shorter stuff..... well, it was..... now it’s hard to drive that many hours in a day, lol. I may be getting old 🤓🤔

Hey Cindy...You are doing a great job..You are just a little down with the gloomy weather and traffic..Trucking ain't for the faint heart..It's a tough life with road conditions. Wrong routing and not getting drops off when planned..Going without showers. Unexpected break downs.. Had a APU on truck..Really saves wear and tear on the truck and fuel.. Did it for 27 years..Got to see a lot of the U.S.A that I wouldn't of never seen other wise..Hoping that things turn around for you..Look up girl..God is with you always..Thank you for the video..Have a Blessed Day..

I ve been out here 33 years and at times i though i would do anything to get out of trucking! But iam still at it.yes you should get glases or contacts. there are lots of choices in trucking both company and oos, just take your time check out allthe options. your a intelligent , strong young woman,so i think you will get to a better situation. we will be praying for you. anyway we can help just ask! all the best to you.

11 months behind 😳😂🤣 oh well, just glad to see them dimples again😍. Hope you’ve overcome the 10 year doldrums. I quit over the road at about the 10 year mark, got rid of the truck and trailer, got out of trucking completely for 6 months, then went local for 15 years, now back OTR with my own truck again. 🙄 keep smilin.

Old trucks can be frustrating, but having owned and working on new stuff every day, they're still better! The amount of downtime due to after-treatment stuff on newer trucks is enough to brake the bank. Old trucks, once you get thru they're having a fit of breakdowns after a million or 2 will run another 2 without much going wrong. It's a tuff business, but what isn't these days. Just keep doing something and somehow it works out!

I have been out here 30 years. I’m burnt out but, what else do you do when it’s all you know. I have been in my own truck for 6 years. My last truck was paid off in February. In March I put in a clutch and transmission. 2 months later my Cat layed down. Major that no one would finance. I sold my truck and step deck to buy a 2012 Kenworth. I haven’t even made the first payment and I get hit in the Pilot parking lot at 4:30 am while I’m asleep. You just have to decide to keep on going or do something else. Someone is always having a worse day than you are! It will get better!

Have you considered going into a trade? Boston is booming construction wise now. I am retired elevator constructor and you would fit right in.
Are you eating a lotta packaged food ? Will give a headache. Please try to eat organic whole foods. I'm pretty sure Walmart carries that stuff now. Pack the cooler . Use Rescue Remedy to take the edge off to sleep. OTC supplement. 143, Bob.
That's right. I've done it all kind of ways. Trucking and home are 2 seperate lives. There's very little balance if any at all.

I’ve been doing this since 1992 except for three years of ministry I’ve been back at it for four more. Our lives are full of ups and downs and we need to persevere through them all. I’ve found my faith in God has pulled me through so much of those sticky draining down times. I’ve discovered that I don’t want or need much to get by. There is so much more I could say but this isn’t the format. If you get stuck in Houston give me an email and I will treat you to a steak dinner and we could talk through this junk.

Flatbed loads take us down roads to job sites we have no business being on.. haha. Been leased on with a small company pulling 53 dry vans.. W900 with stacks and a headache rack was never intended to bump docks!

Had to stay at a customer. Right by the railroad tracks. Just after dark a pack of large coy dogs, thicker than wolves but not as tall, moved up the tracks. I hate to think what might happen to someone sleeping on those tracks.

Love watching your videos. you always show the scenery and the real aspects of driving trucks. I've been off the road for over 8 years and still miss it. Now I lay under them doing maintenance. I love it when you are on the road and I get to see the area you are going thru. I moved to the SE coast of NC ten years ago so I seldom get to see snow and I do miss it. I really enjoyed seeing you in snow and the visual of it helped me cool down as it is 89 degree where I am. I hope your foot is getting better and wonder if you are back on the road driving again. Cindy, do what you think is right for you. Take an extended vacation.When I got burned out, I parked the truck for a couple months. Always went back. After 9/11, trucking kind of bottomed out, and I changed careers. Never looked back. I'm still a trucker at heart...I just wear tool bags now. Smiles, Babe

Glad to see you post a video how is your foot doing hope it healing up good. Yes trucking is a hard life and after doing it for so long you set and rethink if you made the right decision and say yep I just love being out on the road I understand the renting of a space and not being home to enjoy it been there done that but I was home weekly so it kinda made sense. As a OTR driver for almost 20 years I know how you feel cause I ran the northeast more times than can count and it’s very stressful dealing with all that traffic but now retired and miss being out there but the stress will wear you out eventually !!!
Wow is snow normal this time already.. Aussie here. And staying awake...worst job for this I had was dust suppression on a Mine Site and only doing up to 30 KLM per hour for 10 hours a day. I caught up on Current Affairs..Sit ups on break..Got some loader practice in. Safe travels Miss

Just A thought. Sometimes the State Departments of Transportation are looking for CDL drivers to drive Dump trucks and such. I spent the last five years before I retired working with Virginia Dept of Transportation after working as a company driver. Just a suggestion. With your flatbed experience You would be good at hauling equipment to road building operations. Good luck on finding your niche. You're the tops.

@@TheFlatbedChick Cindy since I watched this one I've had 6-8 show up in my "suggestions". No idea what goog criteria are doing with selection process. Maybe not you but what I have been watching. Good to hear you are OK. This video was a downer from a yr ago which made me wonder how you were today. Over the years there have been a number of women in trucking that post lots of videos for a couple of years and then seem to drop off the map. Maybe they pick up private deals or stop to raise family or or or.. They just disappear & we don't know what happened. Seeing other comments here, there are people who enjoy your videos and are cheering for your happiness and success whatever you may decide to do.

I retired from an LTL city job , 26 years in the city , home every night benefits paid not my truck ! I don’t buy fuel, I stared at 8 am every morning 5 days a week . There are good LTL companies out there . You can make 60,000 to 70,000 and be home with holidays off . Just a suggestion. Pitt Ohio is the best LTL out there . Then R&L XPO is just ok .
