    The truth is that, though Ransome Kuti's are popular but Fela is who comes to mind when that name is mentioned locally or globally, while at the mentioning of Fela in Nigeria, there's always a great deal of resentment by the ruling class. The jealous of Fela by these cabals is beyond comprehension so they try all kind evil practices to stop anything that will popularize his name or what he represent all to no avail. In this circumstances, we must remember the burden on his children and families. However, my assumption will be for the fans to look into the deplorable state of the man they all claimed to love and respect especially the Afrobeat artist that has been enjoying the fruit of his labor to come together and put forward a rescuing concert for the Ransome Kuti family, in order to be able to rehabilitate this treasured monument.

    This is a disgrace to the Kuti grandchildren! Look at their sense of entitlement? So they think the Government owes them and so should renovate their family house? How many houses of famous men and women can the Government renovate. The nut fell far from the tree here!!!!!

    This is a monument worth millions of dollars and someone is talking about 130million naira. Can`t they put some money together , then borrow the rest from the bank? The family should not let that building collapse or else they will never forgive themselves. It`s a spiritual home.

    I keep wondering why such a well-to-do Family like the Kutiswill be waiting for Government to give their Family House a face-lift.
    It is either of two things here - lack of unity in the Family or not seeing it as a necessity.
    But it is a shame on all concerned.

      It clearly shows how lazy they have become. Or have their parents made any mistakes when raising them.

    In Europe, the building would have been maintained by the community.
    Lack of vision: Fela is a musical legend. They would have maintained it to the effect that it would draw visitors. Lack of vision of the leaders…. This is a show of shame.

    If the government had sense they would turn that into a museum and the proceeds go to the maintaining of the house and to the poor as fela would have done

    Please...........somebody do something about this house.What are the Igbos doing there? Can anyone just go into their own corner like that,as a stranger and his/her head will not miss. This is a defiance on the Egba indigenes

    • @lesgreen7454
      @lesgreen7454 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The problem being highlighted here is not the Igbos who are probably the reason why the building has not collapsed. It is also not the fault of the State Government. The truth is that the grand children of the owners of this building have failed to do their duty. State Governments cannot and should not be in the business of renovating private homes of people. Yes the Kutis were famous and patriotic and so were others. Should State Governments be running around renovating every famous family building in Nigeria? The Kuti grand children go and renovate grandpa's house asap!

    • @caniceonuoha
      @caniceonuoha 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lol, so it is the fault of the Igbo? No wahala blame the Igbo it is normal for your kind.

    • @zainabbusari120
      @zainabbusari120 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Shut up there, Why are you blaming the Igbos? Why can't the owners of the building renovate it?

    • @annefranciselizabeth3840
      @annefranciselizabeth3840 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Since the Igbos left the house has got much worse. As usual, the Yoruba would blame the Igbo in order to deflect the blame that is due to them.
