Thanks so much for sharing these nice & simple instructions, exactly what I was looking for! Now can make these pretties myself and not order from China.
I have a 40 watt iron from Home Depot. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. The ends are coming out thick as if it’s too hot. It’s a “Weller” brand that doesn’t have a setting. It’s melting the fabric into a thicker clump than the fabric. Ever experienced this?
That happen in my first time ever working with solder. I am not sure whether it's too hot/less hot, but for my past experience, it's less hot. I set the heat at 250 celcius and my satin became really bad, sticky. Then i change slowly from 250 to 400, and when it reach 350-370, my problem solved. If you have more budget, try to use solder with heat controller attach to the solder not in the cable, it is cheap less than $ 6. Heat controller is very important, i use various fabric with different thickness, so the heat changed depen on the fabric.
I make it. Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/7YRCQxSyNHI/w-d-xo.html It's really really easy to make any shape/petal you want, just download it (link in the description) and DIY 😁😁
It is a solder iron. It is usually use by electrician/mechanician to repair electronic like smartphone etc. Yiu can buy it in local electric store. Buy the 60 watt, it cost around 3 USD.
