Today we complete part 2 of the WLTOYS 144001 Brushless Conversion.
I have had to change a few things around as there is currently a huge delay in parts coming from banggood so opted for a different servo to actually run in the buggy.
We will be using:
Racestar 3300kv Motor
Racestar 60a ESC 2-3s Capable
Savox SH0265MG Micro Size Digital Servo 15g
Phatbodies ATAK Body
Phatbodies GURT Wing
Contact Foams
The plan is to hopefully run this baby on 3s and see how fast it is.
Today we fit the servo which is slightly smaller but i have used Savox before and they are a great brand and love their servos. Being slightly smaller i have had to utilise O-Rings either side to fill the gap/space i can confirm using this method there is absolutely no movement when in use i test this out on the video.
We also fit the ESC and make a few other adjustments to the buggy to make everything work according to plan!
Have high hopes for this one and i think we will achieve a really good speed on stock gearing 3s!
Box stock 34mph can easily be achieved to will be interesting to see how fast this is on 3s!
I know i am not the first to do this conversion and many of you have already done it but thought it would be nice to document my efforts for those of you who may be interested in doing this.
There are a few issues you will face along the way including the super glued / thread locked pinion grub screw and motor mount screws without heat you will almost certainly strip the heads.
But dont panic i cover all this stuff in the previous PART 1 video so be sure to watch that if you missed it catch that below:

We finally got there and the buggy is now finished. Have had to make a couple changes but all is well and the buggy is running great! Loved it, right up the point until I realized watched not 1but 2 videos and haven't achieved my goal which was to see initial run of car. Thank you for what I feel was a waste of my time. Stage 4 small cell lung cancer patient here patient here , so yeah every minute counts
I went with 13x3 mm orings wrapped around the servo they won't never move . But it's a nice strong fast servo for the size .
I see! Well now it's in the buggy there is absolutely no movement and stays solid so hopefully we are good. It is great for the size. Thanks for the Tip once again

i found the hosim 9125 monster truck brushless version has a 3 wire micro servo. it's only 9kg i think but it works fantastic

Is a tight fit in there with the big ESC but is certainly doable. I do actually leave the ESC on the top deck in this video but i am tempted to move it to where the battery goes along with the receiver and run the battery up on the top deck secured in place with Velcro. It may be the better option as suggested by someone else in the comments section. Will have a play about with it and see whats best. Cant wait to get it out and run it!

How does the ESC fan get any air with the body blocking it?
It still retains some airflow under there but it is tight.

So once it is cut its very difficult to make it fit on the rear post. I used the front one but for the rear just used some velcro on the side skirts as its just not quite long enough to make it work. Shame really but have to remember this body shell as good as it looks on the 144001 isn't actually made for it :(
