ERASED is one of my all-time favourite anime series. :O Also, I think it does slot into the mystery thriller genre? I agree it's not a murder mystery, but I think to completely disregard it as part of the mystery genre would be incorrect (of course, apparently, I have a different definition of what a mystery is, so what do I know, lol). And at least for me, there were absolutely aspects of thriller in it. It's just that unlike in a thriller, it was balanced out with significantly more quiet scenes than is typical in a thriller (I'd say it's about 50/50, whereas a typical thriller would be more like 10/90). Of course, you're mostly talking about the ending, which iiiiiiis a bit rushed. But I don't really have much issue in it being rushed, although I'm aware it is, in fact, rushed. And I think a more realistic ending than throwing yourself off a building would have been nice... But I'm also down for over-the-top drama, if it's been earned (which imho, it has). I DO have a few minor issues with the series overall (for example, I'm not a huge fan of a high school girl showing romantic interest in a man well into in his twenties and him returning that affection in the end). But I still overall really enjoy it. I did hear that ERASED is controversial among fans, but I'm not connected enough to an anime community to care about such quibbles. ^^; I guess if you love a thing enough, you can overlook its flaws... (Or maybe I just give ERASED a passing mark because it took a premise similar to Detective Conan, but actually made it enjoyable to me... Whereas I really don't get the appeal of Detective Conan... whoops...)
I just watched your video about roro and hiroto, and it seems like hiroto has started twitter again and started posting self harming videos. idk if its something you wanna look into but I thought I'd let you know
