Actually it says “up to plus whatever it is” and I believe some things have a limit to how much energy you can get from it like the tractor stopped at 800k but it could still increase at a painfully slow rate
Also if u rebirth u restart the game basically but u do get 10% energy and u keep pets based on rebirths so I suggest u get the pets from the very first map and sell or grind with them if u sell u get more energy

what I've found out is that if you push the next object to get to a different area instead of pulling it, it's a little easier. I don't know if it's just me, but try it and see if it works?
