    This video shows you how to make Skeleton leaves without baking soda. no boiling needed. You can color the leaves too. I picked several leaves to experiment. Later, I found out that peepal leaves work so well. It is easy to make this leaf skeleton with peepal leaves. Make sure you dry the leaf skeleton.
    Also this is the best project that you should try doing during this lockdown period.

      @@urvashikshatriya4707 I am not sure about that. I picked several leaves to experiment. But only peepal and a wild plant's leaf gave a good result. Some plants' leaves take longer to skeletonize and some will skeletonize fast. It depends upon the thickness and texture.

    I tried this with rose leaves and now I'm pretty sure that rose leaves are made of plastic. 😤

      I didn't use chemicals. I am just keeping it between the pages of a book. I think You can preserve it in resin. I am not sure of the chemicals safe for preserving. I haven't tried any. Or you can Frame this and use it as a decor piece. Thanks for watching once again☺️☺️

      Sorry for the late reply dear.... You can't use neem leaves. The veins decay along with the leaf tissues. Try jackfruit leaf.

      I never tried with banyan leaf. But you can try.

      No u should not use neem leaves. Their veins are so delicate and they will decompose along with the leaf tissues. Choose peepal leaves. It will give good result.

      It won't break if handled with care. You can paste it on paper or frame it between glasses or plastic films. You can even paint the skeleton leaves. Hope this helps. Happy crafting......😊

      Yup... It depends on the leaf tissues dear. All leaves disintegrate. Some are slow and some are fast.

      Change the water once it becomes smelly. The smell will go off after you cleaned the leaves completely

    Much better to lay leaf flat on a smooth surface e.g. a plate, and work towards the edges with a brush.

      I am not sure dear. Coz I didn't try with moneyplant leaves. But what I know is their veins rot along with leaf tissues. Select the leaves which has stronger veins. I will soon post a video on how to select the leaves for leaf skeleton. Stay tuned for that😊

      Try with new leaves. It means you have soaked the leaves for too long.

      @@punjisartistry6033 no. I recommend using peepal leaves. Mature leaves work better than young ones. Thin leaves will decompose faster whereas thick leaves take longer to decompose.

      U can keep it in the bathroom. But a foul smell will come from water if you didn't change the water . I recommend keeping it outdoors. It doesn't matter if you close it or not. Hope this helps you. 😊

      No. You can't. From what I have tried, peepal leaves give best results. Leaves with delicate veins won't work I guess.
