Good job Philly on your nice house. Aren't you happy you don't have to pay monthly mortgage, insurance and a lot of money of taxes? The land is yours and you can do whatever you like with your house. You live in a very nice area in Tabar. I really admire your passion and ambitions for Haiti. Haiti will eventually change with people like you, Marie and others that are making such tremendous differences. Keep up the extraordinary work!!!

Its easy to have running water anywhere but although beautiful and it's a million dollar house with no running water or full kitchen use or bathroom use. It cost only probably $50 USD to make this pretty home with running water and flushing toilets. Just buy a container and place it higher than the toilets and kitchen and some pipes tada just fill the water tank with water using a ladder. Or even more modern and totally automatic just buy an electric water pump starting $20 USD just put it in the water tank on ground floor and that will pump the water every where needed in the house. So toilets and showers, kitchen faucets can be use easily modern as intended. No need for buckets or cuvettes. I want to add because power is also not always stable in Haiti if using the modern automatic water pump, it will be best to still use a second tank higher so the higher pump can provide the house with water even if no electricity.

All haters on this feed, go and pray and ask God for forgiveness; because Haiti will change - you best believe that because the Most Most High God of heaven and earth has decreed it.
Therefore you haters need to have a change of heart and mind; because you haters, even you will want to come home - when things are changing.
You sit there hating and letting some do all the work. Hater, there's something you can do you know! You can pray, hope. It won't be a waste of your time because God wants to hear from you.

You see all those iron rods sticking up on the roof of the house, it means that they bound to put another concrete floor which so wait for another earthquake for all of them to be under the concrete and rubbles. Like most houses in Haiti, it is badly constructed with tons of concrete and little iron supports. The concrete roof is exposed to the elements which means the roof be sucking tons of rain water. The whole house if fenced up so you are living behind high walls and behind bars.....WHAT A FCUKING LIFE.....At least with the Duvaliers people were able to let their doors open even at night.

How does it makes you feel inside, living so grand when people all around you are so poor and starving every day, Not critizising you bro, just asking, and how are you helping people there that are doing so badly? Been there many times, always leaving all my worthy posetions with every one i meet before i leave.

Man this is a regular house in haitian standards. Every haitian you meet probably have one or two like that. And every single haitian family you se is taking care of at least 5 people. Haitians living abroad send $ 2 Billions every year. Hwve you ever heard of people dying of hunger in haiti? All we have to fix is the political system.

We have poor people living around us in the United States. I remember when I use to sell life insurance and visited clients whose diet consisted of cat food , right here in the US. So, its everywhere.

I would put better quality furniture ! I would put the TV on the wall or proper tV furniture ! I would certainly not have a fridge near a dinning table. Etc . Basically the house is not but the furniture looks like it was just put just to put. No offense
