Black Excellence Excellist I was in a bot bank to make a money order for $50,000 and they would not let me use the bathroom I had to go across the road to McDonald’s then come and have them do a cashiers check for me so that tells you at least how much I had in the bank and I had to use the bathroom next-door at Wells Fargo I think I need a new home for my money

@#1 Ownership is over 50%, so for the history of this country coming from the socially constructed place of the only reason the terms "black/white" were implemented in the first place, was so a "bank" would quickly know who to do business with and who not, and who could own property and who not, being at 50 anything is an extraordinary feat, and that's better than less than 10%, which is the range they typically try to box in at or being completely shut out at 0..and 50% can still increase once the right 2 or 3 strategically savvy business people start getting in the right room

I was just asking my friend how to open a bank - she thought I meant open a bank account, no, I mean open my own bank. It is possible - think big, do business big. I am trying to invest more in black owned business but I live in UK and very few around. We do have Metro bank in UK and I do have an account with them but it is used as a back up savings - now I will save more money there and I will go and find about investment banking but one day I want to own my own bank with many branches all over the world.

Most large cities where Blacks have been a significant population have at some point had Black financial institutions. There has been a call to support Black financial institutions as far back as the late 70's - early 80's. Over that time span the majority of them have closed. the ones in my city never advertised. The co-host on a radio station of the Urban One radio network, has stated on air many times that he would never put his money in a BLACK bank. He said one messed his money up, and so his attitude is they all are the same. Decades ago savings and loans across the board and nationwide went into bankruptcy because of federal interest rate changes. About one third of them when out of business. Don't put all your money in any one place. Give a Black financial institutions some business, but not all. This should be how any campaign to support them should go. We have obviously shown over decades that we lack confidence in our own institutions. Let the institutions themselves show that they desire our business and prove that they can provide as good as service, as any other institution. Businesses is a two way transaction. Third party advocacy has not proven effective over a considerable time span. Have any of you heard of this particular campaign before seeing this video? It is over two years old. What does that say about advertising and promotion? Black contractors don't even put signs on their vehicles. We have a lot of growing to do in terms of business.
