You were always my favorite LTT host. Now that you're on your own, I'll continue to follow your channel. You have such a warm presence about you. That makes your videos something of a comfort food for tech lovers like me.

First channel launch I’ve been legitimately excited about in ages. Do you know part of what makes your presentation style special, despite your protestations that you’re not that special? It’s your sincerity.
You were the antidote to Linus. Watching your personal contributions added a much more humble and sincere element that is much more easily relatable, watchable, and useful. Looking forward to your future videos!
No matter what, your technical knowledge in LMG was an absolutely godsend. Most of the times (and Im not in tech at all) linus videos are easy to follow, when you show up on videos I knew it was going to be an insane video to follow but I would come out the other end as informed as I was amazed on what you pull through. I was surprised when you came out, as you surely fit the role of the basement geek guy that devoted his whole life to be as in-depth into tech as, well you were! Im happy for you! Everyone should be happy and comfortable in their own skin and I hope that whatever journey you step in now, brings you all the joy you deserve! thank you for everything and see you soon!

Every time an LMG video refused to even consider a Linux solution I kept asking where was Emily, so I'm glad to have found you again
lol i think i did this a couple of times too
That mid role ad joke killed me 😂
It took me by surprise, I thought I had pressed on another video by accident
Nintendon't
@@tbrooke3016 It rolled RIGHT when I clicked the Patreon link and had me confused for like 5 seconds
I thought it was an genuine mid roll ad until I saw it. Had me in stitches afterwards.🤣
@@Fernando-ek8jp So did I, lol
Hello! Good to see you on my screen again!
This dude is sick

You're a gem Emily. Your passion is infectious. Thank you for inspiring so many of us.
Edit: Oh, and I vote linux and hobby content!
i feel a new retro channel brewing, the mentions of Dankpods, LGR, TC, etc etc, which are all one of my fav channels all time, makes me feel very hopeful for you!
also! congratz on the new job!!!
Oh I would absolutely support that!!
Damn having this to light up today really made it better, so glad to have you back.
Do whatever you want with this channel, I'll be tuning in!
Here here!!!
Your spirit is what drives us to view you regardless of anything else. You're a joy to watch and the positive or negative spin you put on whatever topic you cover, it's always enjoyable and your delivery is easily digestible. You'll figure out what to do, and keep it simple and most importantly is you will do fine because you have a beautiful spirit and information people want to hear and see.
I've been around computers for 35 years, worked professionally in IT for 20. Every LTT video you were in taught me something I needed to know and every video I knew you were in I knew would be an educating experience. You're great!
Really glad to see you back on camera.. really looking forward to your new content . Also really glad that your finally comfortable with who you are and feel better in your self .. i really missed when you when you left LMG you were always one of my favourite members of that channel. I also have a massive nerd side love retro and pretty much learn the same way as you ! 😋
🧢
For me, what I always liked about your videos on LMG was exactly that, seeing someone that shares the same passion for tech that I do.
I'm looking forward into following your new jorney here.
EMILY!!!!!!!!! Whatever you make ill watch.

You were always my favorite LTT host. Now that you're on your own, I'll continue to follow your channel. You have such a warm presence about you. That makes your videos something of a comfort food for tech lovers like me.
The only LTT host with scruples.
Em, it's your curiosity, humility, and relatability - all of which you demonstrated in this video - that built your following. We don't expect you to be the expert, but we love it when you take us along on your learning journeys.
True! I wanna learn about the USB ports and the Roman Empire!
The content you were a part of at LMG inspired me to create a home lab, which has given me a great hobby and even helped me at my job. I wish you the best in your future endeavors!
Been feeling pretty down today given the state of *vaguely gestures at... everything*. Brightened my day a good bit to see you appear Emily. Thanks for sharing!
100% agreed, I'm currently super stressed because of some stuff I'm working on and also feeling a bit down because of, well, *broadly gestures* (luckily not american but that same shit is coming my way in the next few years so I'm not super excited) and seeing emily coming back is a very big picker upper morally
ive never clicked a video faster, nice to see you back.
Cheers from the Netherlands
I haven't seen or heard about your transition at all until now because I never really kept up with LMG and it's related content for a long while. I'm am very plessantly surprized and grateful this video made it's way in front of me. As a queer, trans autistic person who's into computers I am excited to see and support your content moving forward! Lots of love and admiration comming your way from me and probably many more queer fans to come!
Do what you like and love, and don't give up! 😉

There’s a reason that you cool down my pc for years
@@yesyesys I'm so sick of that meme, but that's perfect. 🤣
When I first saw you on LTT I was instantly a fan. You have a profound presence, fantastic way of communicating complicated ideas in an accessible and comedic way. Something about your specific diction is more compelling than most youtubers on the platform.
To me you are more than just 'useful'.
I really would love to see you go down the rabbit hole on any random topic that interests you - as chances are, it will interest me and I assume your other fans.
Very keen to see your future videos.
Thanks for being you!
My brother who is a super tech guy always said you really knew your stuff... good luck going forward!
I am 63 years old, and have been working on computers since 2000. I have built and repaired thousands, and programed at least as many. The ONLY reason I watched LTT was your writing, and or insights into the subject. I just hope you can continue, I find your wisdom helpful. Please, keep up the good work!
Thanks! Wish you the best and always missed you on LMG, luckily YT recommended this video so I now know where to find you again 😀
There aren't many people on TH-cam that I can't wait to watch because of the passion, knowledge and skill that they share in their realm but you're definitely one of them and I can't wait to see what you've got in store!!
I wondered where you went! This is not the video I expected to be watching today, but I'm glad it - and you - are here, and finding a new path no matter where it leads.
Glad to see you succeeding, Emily. Stay safe out there! Do what makes you happy.
Agreed
Anthony can't stay safe, he's unwell

Glad to see you back in front of a camera! Look forward to seeing how your content evolves!
I'm so happy this video came up, u have always been one of my favorite staff members of LTT. You always brought a fun atmosphere in and so much knowledge. I wish I knew the amount u do about linux and the other things gou do and you have helped inspire me to try and do more, even moved up to internal I.T. at my job! Im.so happy to know I can now still see your videos!
Whenever I watched LTT and you were in the thumbnail, I knew I was in for a treat. You were a superstar whenever it came to your extreme knowledge of tech. You had been a very relatable tech person whenever you were in videos. I loved watching you!!
The bluetooth audio video is the most exciting thing ever I frickin hate bluetooth on windows 10
I'm so proud of your maturity and growth! These kinds of things are really tough to recognize about ourselves and it takes a lot to get past that.
Holy shit even the drone guy is here
Oh hey David 👋
You're an awesome person. Keep up the good work and keep fighting the good fight.

Anthony is a sick man.
@@yakivpopavich You can deadname someone all you want, it won't magically change them into whatever you think they should be. It just makes _you_ an asshole.
@@yakivpopavichI'm sorry you have nothing better to do than to linger in the comments section of a creator you clearly don't like. You could spend your efforts and energy making the world a better place, but instead you have decided to be a troll. "Hurt people hurt people" so why are you so hurt? Go out of your way to do a random act of kindness for someone (stranger or loved one) and see if it fills up your heart better than going out of your way to be cruel. Have the life you deserve.
Amazing to hear from you again Emily!
Anthony
@@paulbeers4105 best not to interact those hate trolls. Or better yet, report them and then ignore them.
hahahaha, 10:34, good one! But ya, just make videos about what you are passionate about, and Linux/Linux Gaming, because it would seem almost every other major TH-camr messes that topic up every time... Editing and lighting, I'm sure you'll get better, but that is also not always the make or break for videos, I mean look at Louis Rossman's vids...
Yay! I'm so excited for this!
For a good start!
We love you baby! ❤️ You have to come back full throttle. You were always my favorite on Linus's. I don't give a care about how you live your life. I only care that you are happy and you are safe and healthy. I'm only one voice but I'll be here for your content. I hope to see more from you soon. Just bring your genuine self and go from there. Sending you a big hug.
This, so much this. People are people and they should all be respected, with few exceptions, just those that put in effort to disrespect others.
Honestly as deep as I am in FOSS, Linux and Kubernetes, so I feel pretty well versed and you casually mentioned two topics I knew nothing about as future vids.
Honestly helping bridge the normie UX into the FOSS space is freaking huge of thing to do to me. Subbed and will be a paid supporter via pattern/librepay as soon as I can!
One of my favorite hosts at LTT, wish you the best with this new venture.
yea he used to be one of my fav aswell now hes just woke and unlikable
@square7935 they haven't changed though, you just let your biases control you.
First channel launch I’ve been legitimately excited about in ages. Do you know part of what makes your presentation style special, despite your protestations that you’re not that special? It’s your sincerity.
Emily! It's so good to see you!
Everyone should be happy and comfortable in their own skin and I hope that whatever journey you step in now, brings you all the joy you deserve!
thank you for everything and see you soon!
congratulations on being you and 100% authentic !! keep kicking ass we cant wait to see what happens!!!
I think you brought some much needed professionalism at LMG. You talked clearly with no filler which I think a lot of people respected. I hope that if you do take on sponsors, be it something that you actually use regularly. I'm looking forward to more of your videos in the future and hope that you get to the point where companies are begging to send you their things to review. Good luck Emily!
The real question is, Did you ever fix Luke’s Super Nintendo’s?!❤
It’s concerning that you say coming out spelled the end of your time on camera. I’d certainly hope that was your decision and not the company you worked for that no longer wanted you on camera. Anyway, good to hear from you again Emily x
LETS GOOOOO. You were / are my favorite host at LTT. You brought so much fuckin' CHARACTER to the team. Emily, you got this.
So good to see you again, we all love you loads!
No Thank you, for giving us the continued story of Emily. I was so gutted when you stepped down from hosting LTT vids. So happy to find you here back on YT. Not only are you GOD tier tech nerd but I always find what you have to say as something that teaches me, is funny, or insightful. GOOD TO HAVE YOU BACK!!!
You were the person who first drew me into LTT. I'm so ecstatic that I get to see you make content again!
Emily imposter syndrome can really be confusing. Don’t belittle yourself or your accomplishments. Everything you’ve done over ur career has directly influenced many of us on pursuing a career in comp sci and engineering. Your strengths always show and clearly people have noticed
Came here to say something very similar!!!
Yay! Happy to see you back! 🎉❤
Seeing you in videos of LTT was always a welcome sight, I enjoyed watching them more when you were involved, and now that you have your own channel and are open to doing more videos in the future, I can't wait to see what you do. Seeing you transition has been amazing, it's inspiring to be honest. Thank you for the video, take care! :)
I stopped watching Linus Tech Tips a year or two ago. Glad to see you are still at it! I liked you because you at LMG were good with and understood linux.
Edit: I also liked your writing!!
Emily though it sucks that we will no longer see you in LMG, I'm glad you are having joy in life that you have given to others through your knowledge and personality.
A lot of us saw that first video watching you come out of your shell overtime. We will continue to be here to watch you because you are so passionate.
The thing I enjoy about you is you make subjects accessible to people at all learning levels.
I went on my linux journey starting with you.
I think you would do great taking stuff that seems scary and making it accessible to average people.
Hey Emily! Hello from Brazil!
I just wanted to show my support for you and for your content. Although I don`t really understand the process you're going through personally, I always wanted to see more of your content because of the way you explain things that can be really complicated for someone without the experience in such an easy-to-understand way. I hope you keep doing what you've always done (that comprehensive explanation of tech, that is).
Best of luck and keep being the amazing tech educator you are!

Let's fucking go!! Happy to see you back, cannot wait to see what you do.
Hell yeah, same!
Emily, you are an inspiration and a role model ... super excited to see you back in front of the camera ... you are a great educator and an authentic human being .... the world can use more of both!
