The car is killing it on looks. I would skip this engine option and go for the V6 if you’re going to purchase this car; the reliability of the V6 will be more than worth it and the interior will last just as much. This is by far the smartest buy over the German option.
I had a 2017 IS200t F-Sport & the turbo 4 got the job done, had a decent amount of turbo lag, but wasn't overly annoying, but I upgraded to a 2016 GS350 F-Sport with the V6 three years ago & the V6 is much better as expected. I drove a 2023 IS350 F-Sport as a loaner last year & Lexus for sure improved the handling from the 2017 model I had.

I own a 2024 Lexus IS 300. I use it every day for work and it is a good work vehicle, safe and reliable.
However, here is the honest truth, it is seriously underpowered, and the interior definitely shows its age. I think it’s extremely funny when I hear people compare Japanese cars to German cars because there is no comparison and two
different design philosophies, if you are looking for performance and driving excitement then this is not the car and you should be looking at a German option. If you’re looking for soft ride and reliability then this could be a good option.
The exterior is one of the best and most unique in its segment.That tail light bar is incredible at night. My guess is that there is a hybrid redesign in the works and Lexus is saving any updates for that.
Lexus has proven that they can make great interiors with the RX, TX, and even ES.

I got a 19 is 300 v6 in gray a good car no big problem with it at 85 .000 miles the. Awd is good power not bad
Love it. The interior needs a face lift but at the end of the day this car will start in the morning a year from now while the bMW will have a 50/50 shot of turning on lol
Turbocharged 2 litter shouldn't be called the IS300 if it doesn't have a 3 liter. So obviously it's a IS200t with a fake number badge.
People be asking for an update for the IS and here I still want a newer version of the IS Convertible 😢
As a Lexus tech there are 2 major faults with this model, the touch pad and the wheels, the IS model blows tires like NOTHING it’s ridiculous, I always tell people swap the rims out for a bigger sidewall option.
Do you think itll be better with 18s? And will square setup work?
$48K for a non F-Sport is crazy! I would go for the IS 350 with the V6 or the IS 300 AWD F-Sport V6 for just a little more.
I just realized there are no back seat door pockets, or auto start/stop in this car, where the car engine stops at traffic lights. Not sure if it's a deal breaker, but at that price, it leaves me quite wanting.
Auto start stop kills your spark plugs and your fuel pump. It’s part of what killed gm reliability
Love the fact that it keeps running on stops.
Interior needs updating. And better interior packaging for more space. And even the key fob is giving 2008.
The interior is from 2013... i cant believe it how possible to update only exterior....
Why is the cluster not digital?
Digital dash is available, but you have to get one of the F-Sport packages
Ben NEVER mentions the 0-60 time on any of his reviews, such a shame because he’s really great. 😢
Because he isn't a tester. He basically drives the car around the block like any one of us could do.

@@minipandora22 Salesmen are the worst source and factory times are often not the same as real world testing. I'd just look to see if C&D or MT has actually tested the car. He shovels out so many "reviews" everyday because he isn't doing anything more than what anyone does on a typical test drive.

Why didn't Lexus increase horsepower?
Yeah the car is outdated but still one of the best looking sedans. I got a is200t 2016 with this same engine. Slow but no problems.
I would honestly own one of these if the interior wasn't so outdated.
My guess the facelift next year will have the new dashboard like this year NX350.
I'd much rather have an "outdated" interior with real buttons and gauges than "futuristic" crap that really is just cheaper to build bc they remove everything and replace it with a worse to use screen...
Also CDs have better sound quality, how is replacing them with something worse "progress"?
@@Mgoblagulkablong it's because of mix of normies thinking "big touch screen" is good and Car reviewers who attack cars with less "Tesla-like" interior. Which lead most car company to do this.
1. They added the touchscreen years ago...

Other than the much more expensive 500 V8 this is the best version of IS: RWD, Turbo, 8-speed and also the least expensive.

Yeah, it's the entry level Lexus. So they cut some corners. Interior is almost Camry-like.

Sorry but i feel very much Disrespected by Lexus to still bring a dated Key fob and a Dated Interior, PLEASE WTF! WTF !! WTF!!! WHY, How would you call a 2024 and then have an OUTDATED interior from 2013 and the same Glove Compartment from 2006 what sort of INSULT IS THIS?

Honestly that’s cool asf some people still have CDs and this is a car that is starting to have history it’s gonna have some of the same components until they absolutely create a new version of the IS the way they did from 1st Gen to 2nd gen.

NO, it doesn't even remotely compare anymore. The car is laughably outdated and outclassed by the competition. It's simply too old.

The Lexus will be worth way more 5 years down the line though.
