Michel becquet is one of the best trombonists ever! He has a lovely sound
The timbre of brass is so fitting for these impressionist pieces
Such a beautiful sounding interpretation
Yeah I might have watched this everyday for the past week now.....beautiful
Es como un máster class
Ravel ne désavouerais pas cette magnifique interprétation !
Wow, that gave me shivers.
Obrigado c';
Ajudou muito a melhor o meu dia
just about the most expressive trombonist ( along with Urbie Green ) I,ve heard.
When I am listening to this masterpiece ,
my heart is absorbed in the profundity of sorrow
From chaotic Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun .
Which country is yours ? .
Quelle beauté
i agree!
Grandios!
@Finners1551 This melody is written for the horn in the orchestral arrangement of this. =]
@knifenewbie456 Ravel actually wrote as a dance, so it is at the tempo it should be at.
@raitoD3 I agree.
The basstrombonist is Raymond Munnecom. Nice arrangement.
No
it's Mark Boonstra
@jrrutherford10 oh lol i like it slower in my interpretation to me it seems more like a closing piece on life about how beautiful it is
Nice arragement.
The Classical period is emotionless by stereotypes. The Impressionist period, where this piece was written, was more or less a minimalist approach expression wise against the Romantic period. The Romantic period was, as most people see it, a very rambunctious and loud era for music in the west.
which Version is this? the quartet or sextet? publisher and arranger?
beautiful but just a little fast!
love this stuff
too bad ravel wasnt as appreciated in is time
ohhh burn....but i do hold piano higher in my esteem...so at least you didn't critisice that finners1551!!!
Easy
@justinw11235 That's why it was arranged for an even better instrument :)
Don't like it.
I don't feel any emothin. This just not classic music.
brainwashkenny1
It's a piano work of Ravel arranged for solo trombone and trombone sextet, all the musicians that play in this video are excellent professionals, i respect your opinion about your feelings listening this because all the people have a different positions but you are wrong because maurice ravel was a french composer in the classical music period of the impressionism.
for this reason this video is classic music.
i hope that you do not take this comment in a bad mood.
Best wishes
