1986년 6월 1일 정은혜 안무가에 의해 창단되었다. 우리 문화유산의 면면들을 탐구, 발견하여 다양한 창작춤으로 승화시켜 한국춤의 세계화를 도모한다. 세계문화의 흐름에서 유실되고 있는 춤 예술 고유의 가치를 극장예술로서 매우 의미있게 발현해내어 하나의 춤 공연이 한국문화의 신화성과 역사성을 담고 오늘의 발견을 이루어내는 작업을 진행한다. (사)정은혜민족무용단의 춤 속에는 국내 어느 무용단에서도 잘 볼 수 없는 예술춤의 모습이 풍부하게 펼쳐져 관객들과 뜻깊게 소통한다.
It was founded on June 1, 1986 by choreographer Jeong Eun-hye. They explore and discover aspects of Korean cultural heritage and sublimate them into various creative dances to promote the globalization of Korean dance. In the dances of "Jung Eun Hae Dance Korea", artistic dances that cannot be seen in any other dance troupe in Korea are abundantly unfolded and meaningfully communicated with the audience.
