Why my friend left Los Angeles. It's really a shitty place to live in and poverty is all around the city but something just makes you feel like you're at home. I have went here expecting so much but was disappointed but not to the point of leaving it for true beauty lies in the beholder. There's something so ugly about this place that makes it beautiful don't expect it like the movies because the beauty of Los Angeles is found underneath the dirt and rubble in this city.
This song describes exactly how I feel about Toronto

No song better sums up my feelings about a place. Whenever I visit LA I am in equal measure charmed beyond words and repulsed by both the superficial and substantial poverty of the place.

This song sucks. Your reflectiveness of LA is relative to your contribution to society and says more about you than it does about LA. People who don't have shit to offer society and live in poor communities will only have bad things to say about LA. If you have a college degree or a special talent you may be able to afford to live in one of the MANY wealthy communities LA has to offer. -maybe even make it big. I lived in west LA for 6 years and had multi-millionaire clients. The wealth, glamour, and fame that resides in LA can only be unlocked but those who are worthy. LA has something magical about it that is hard to explain; an electrified can do spirit that radiates from its inhabitants. Your server at a restaurant can be an aspiring writer waiting to land writing gig for the next big TV series; your UBER driver can be an aspiring actor waiting for their big break; you can be in a coffee shop sitting next to the a top engineer of SpaceX or the next millionaire entrepreneur and not even know it. LA is the city were Jay Leno can go from homelessness to celebrity and where undocumented immigrants like Cesar Millan (The Dog Whisperer) can get their TV series. Any shallow song can cherry pick the negative aspects of any city and make it sound like shit. The beauty of an opinionated song lies in capturing the essence of your topic. -the essence that is not visually discernible. This song has no depth and fails miserably at uncovering the complex beauty of this big crazy city.
