Nigeria sorry to say, is an embarrassment, a country of over 200 million people, enormous resources and very brilliant individuals, still bragging about tuscanos, outdated Soviet Choppers in 2022. Countries in Africa like Egypt, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa are flying the F-16s, Tornadoes, Euro fighters etc. I know this because I am a Pilot trained in Colorado Springs USA.

All of you criticizing what Babajide is doing are the same people shouting corruption when govt spend money on military weapons, govt took $500m out from excess crude account few years ago, it was a lot of noice saying the money was been stolen by APC government, this is what they bought with it, they need to show it to naysayer.
Majority of these weapons were not in existence before, money budgeted for military weapons over the years were stolen by military and politicians, that is why when the bokoharam started we don’t have tanks and weapons to fight.
The reason why some of you are still moving about your business in the city is because the Military are fighting laying their life down for the country if not Terrorist will have run you guys in the city over if not because of the military.
US with all their military weapons spent 20 years In Afghanistan, more than 4,000 US military was killed in the process, fighting terrorist is not a joke.

Also many service men who died in action their families are often left to rot unless above the rank of equivalent colonel. What about those owe salaries or given inferior weapons to fight Terrorists. How is it that Nigeria has all that Oil revenue and far outdated military aircraft? This is not the case for Saudi Arabia. I speak as a brother from the US.
There are a lot of reasons why
1) Nigeria has a population of over 200 million to cater for. Saudi’s population is smaller
2) The US funds Saudi’s military and sells weapons to them without thinking it twice. Nigeria funds its own military and the US doesn’t always willingly accept to sell us weapons. Presently Nigeria has been expecting 12x AH-1z helicopters since 2018, America is yet to deliver them because according to American senators, “there are concerns for human rights violations”.🙄 You can imagine the hypocrisy.
3) Nigeria doesn’t have any adversary so there is no urgent need to get a modern, futuristic jet that will cause the airforce to spend a lot of money.
When the fulani oligarchs said Nigeria cannot break, they know exactly what they are talking about. How many of these killer machines are in southern military bases.
How many Southerners are attending the flying schools that churn out these pilots? The ratio is 8 northerners to 2 southerners. I lived in a NAF base once and I can tell you that if there is a repeat civil war along the lines of 1967, NAF will strafe the South East to submission in 2 weeks (not two and half years). IPOB is just making empty noise. Nnamdi Kanu and his cohorts have ZERO idea about modern warfare and avionics. Nobody wins any kind of war without an airforce. Executive Outcomes faced the RUF rebels with three helicopter gunships and routed them from Freetown in 2 weeks.

In the 1980s, the late AVM Ibrahim Alfa allowed reporters to ride in NAF fast jets. The then Guardian reporter Juliette (can't remember her surname) even rode backseat in the MiG 21 wearing a g suit. With all due respect, this reporter should get fit, shed a lot of weight then perhaps could give us first hand report flying backseat in one of these machines.

These arrays of fighter jets are still modern and sophisticated to credible levels, kudos to NAF. I will advise that routine maintenance matters since the Air Force personnels were well trained.. when are going to have back our commercial Nigeria Airways planes?🤔🙄
