Long time listener, first time caller. Is this the year of the -Ears? Jeremiah Fears - Oklahoma Jeremy Fears - Michigan State Mark Sears - Alabama Jordan Sears - LSU I’ll hang up and listen.
Mark sure is living his best life. In the last year, got married, expecting, OSU in national title game, has Cody bring him a coffee every day, has Tate to look up any research he wants done. Living it up right my man! Just watch what you say about my boy Wooden!
More context on Travis Perry: John Calipari “recruited” him to Kentucky because he had to for the fans to not totally turn on him. He apparently told Perry he could commit to Kentucky but he would never get minutes. Perry committed anyway in hopes that he could prove himself. He was a 4 star and being recruited elsewhere. Also, he’s the leading scorer in Kentucky high school basketball history. The second leading scorer in Kentucky history is also on the team. He was committed to South Carolina and decommitted after Pope got hired and flipped to Kentucky.
I understood cal not going for a ton of in state guys because Kentucky can get better talent than that but when Kentucky has a high school player with promise and will be a 4 year guy it doesn’t make sense for Kentucky to not get them
@@mattvvvvvv Cal wouldn’t have even offered Reed Sheppard if he wasn’t a top 100 player/ the son of UK great Jeff Sheppard.. Reed didn’t start a single game and was the 3rd pick in the NBA draft 😂
Indiana definitely looks bad this year, but in Woodson‘s defense, everyone is figuring out this NIL transfer portal landscape. Most of the top NIL budget programs are not doing well. A lot of these coaches and collectives got duped. Until there’s some contractual structure to NIL, it’s gonna be a crapshoot
Pretty sure he resigned and if Indiana wanted to keep him they could have. It may have looked bad but as you can see from other schools like Kansas and bill self, 5 level 1 violations and they didn’t fire him because they knew it didn’t matter as long as they were winning.
I love you all, but you have to do at least a smidge of analysis before diving in. Curtis Jones started only because Milan Momcilovic broke his non-shooting hand. Would be nice for yall to know that the 2nd ranked teams starter got an indefinite injury. Oh and they still won by 17
College basketball is so electric right now, say what you want but NIL and the transfer portal has dispersed so much talent there’s 15-20 good games a week right now
@ I don’t entirely buy that when you compare them to the Big East who most likely has just as much NIL available at the top end. I think the SEC has been building in quality for a few years and NIL just kinda puts em over the top
The best conference very rarely ever has the national title winner.. now I will say for the SEC that they’re due for a natty champ. Its been many moons haha the big ten has been the best conference probably 10 times in the last 20 years and they haven’t won it all in that span
I added timestamps, love you guys have a good weekend. - Kody
Now do it for mostly sports lol I would watch that show everyday if there were timestamps
Timestamps???
curt jones started due to milan momcilovic getting injured, it’s nice to have your best player available to fill in for a starter haha

Rebels finally got some love from the boys! #beardball
Bear Down Arizona. America’s most underrated team.
Unless Caleb Love shoots us out of the game 😂
I just want my demon deacons to be back in the dance. Been too long

Trent Noah is the other freshman

Time stamps?
MIZZOU IS GOOD
Please timestamps all i ask #MIZ
Sampson got banned by the NCAA after being at IU so he would’ve been gone for 5 seasons anyway. Couldn’t have kept him if they wanted to
Did he get banned or have a show cause?

St. John's is 10-1 in their last 11, and tied second in the BE, and no one is talking about them...
Just call this the SEC CBB Podcast already.
its been the ACC cbb podcast the past 6 years but since the ACC became a mid-major conference its not as fun to talk about

Yeah we (KU) are terrible. I hope you guys beat Houston to win the BIG 12. We are on to next season already
Can you make this a live show
Brother it would be at like 8 am EST
College basketball is so electric right now, say what you want but NIL and the transfer portal has dispersed so much talent there’s 15-20 good games a week right now
That’s gotta be why the SEC is so good this year. It will balance further but the SEC money doesn’t stop at football.

@@edmeyer501 Yes I agree. I was mostly speaking to the depth at the lower end of the SEC more than the top.

Or maybe Auburn is just that good and can win without broome
Grab your damn passport
For being a college bball podcast, you show no love to the big 12….again
😢
Jordan Gainey had 19 points last night. One of the best sixth men in college basketball. Go Vols.
