- A good friend of mine gifted me a box of old toy cars he had stored in his parents garage since his youth. Let's take a look at what effects the ravages of time and a destructive young man had on these vintage collectors items! Muahahahah!

I had that combine at 4:15 way back in the day. My favorite was definitely the pink Lamborghini at 5:25. A lot of them were junk, but they'll serve a purpose in your junkyard diorama, so it's not a total loss.
These will be perfect for a junkyard diorama

+wtffor I really could care less if the car isnt good even in its beat up condition,i care and love them,just like i did all those years ago when i just got them,either if their mint or just "junk" i cherish them all,to make it short i love your video here,they just dont make toy cars like they used to back then!

I bought a box at a thrift store for $10 two weeks ago. My 3 yr old co picker loves them all. I did get one Redline, so it was worth it for me. Also got a bus from japan, a dune buggy from West Germany, 2 Yatming cars, one slot car body and 4 tootsie toy cars. Of course, numerous hot wheels and matchboxes.
6:04 This is how I get mine but they are transformed with TLC, paint and replacement decals.
That gasoline truck had a green chassis, white tank and yellow cab. With three BP decals.
Also, when the cab tilts forward, there should be the cab seats.
Those old cars with metal base are the best. I have some old majorette too
I absolutely love those finds. I'd still display those just like my mint condition ones.
This video is so negative, 😂😂 I'm a girl and LOVE old toy cars. Some of mine look like these. I had to brake some open to put new wheels in them. I saved 5 of them. 👍🏼👍🏼 I love anything that's old. I'm 18 and literally living in the 1970s.
Margaret Pariera Good to start your collection on the low end and have what is enjoyable even if it's old beat up cars. Like Mater says in the Cars movie I say the scratches and dents gives them character

Im 14 and i love old hot wheels, majoretted and matchboxs better than new ones. wtffor also loves old toy cars but he wants to collect them on perfect condition. The "junkyard" isnt like he's gonna scrap the cars or something, its a kind of giantic diorama he has with all the bad condition old toy cars :P

Strangely hilarious
That first ambulance looks like a Citroen DS, at 3:37 the yellow Matchbox car with the mad blown engine is a Ford Capri, 4:47 is a Matchbox Mk1 Ford Transit Dropside. Just the few I recognise, and checked online to confirm. ;¬)

Without googling it the Ambulance looks like one I had when I was a nipper 42 years ago....Citroen Safari .

In an older edition of Die-cast magazine, there was an article on how to make new hot-wheels/matchbox cars look old. I like the peeling paint scratched up look.
I also have rare hot wheels from muscle cars with optional jack up rear ends to heavy equipment haven't had out for over 30 yrs but I still keep...I have a couple funny cars don the snake prudomme army and tom the mongoose old leather vette I wood only sell if got big money but a lot are warn cuz I played wen I was a kid so wheels are wobbley lol

I took one those old AMC Jeep Wagoneer Ambulance and turned it into a Jeep J10 Gladiator sadly I lost the darn interior lol but the bed and fender wheel wells turned out good lol 😀👍

Those cars would be good for practicing customizing skills. Some of those cars needs to be restored especially the ones that is in mint condition.

The lesney tanker is oldest truck you got in the box it came out in 1964 I have that model nice trucks

cool cars there I havd a Golf with scratched up paint like that even missing the hatch and roof damaged a bit. I had repainted it like a Banger car or demo derby car

I agree I actually got the idea not the paint schemes but the idea of painting them up from a fellow diecast group member He has or had a website forget what it was but he had a lot of cars he made into banger cars. the diecast site we were part of has sadly also shut down
