“Nalligigakku (Because I Love Her)” is a funky and fun summer love song, performed by arctic indie rocker Joey Nowyuk. The video was shot on location in Joey's hometown of Pangnirtung, Nunavut. The song was produced by Thor Simonsen (Kelly Fraser, Aasiva) and Dale Penner (Nickelback, The Matthew Good Band), the song is the first release off Joey’s debut album, Tumitit - meaning “your footsteps” in Inuktitut - set for release in 2021. Joey’s beat-heavy, guitar driven songs tell stories of his life in Nunavut, Canada, always shining a ray of optimism and hope throughout.

Qujannamiik for the translation from Inuktut to English. It was so fun hearing the Inuktut and then understanding what it meant. Very good!!!

Throatsinging sounds a bit like a beatbox. Very airy and bit jazzy Melody. I would love to learn inuktitut (at least a bit), but seems to be hard when you are not there in Nunavut. Greetings from Denmark.
