Thank you so very much for this arrangement. I have a colleague of mine, a very talented jazzsinger, who agreed to sing this very arrangement with another colleague (bass) and me (ukulele) before an audience of students at our school. It was unforgettable. Thank you.
Gorgeous arrangement and impeccable performance: good voice, clean and tasty uke strumming and correct bass lines. Big kudos to you two. Thanks for Sharing
Cynthia, I don’t know what to say... you play and sing the song just how I would love to play and sing it (if I could 🙂). You are the one that made we want to learn to play the ukelele. I’m still learning.. started about one year ago. I play alto sax for a long time already but now I have a new love... the Uke 👍🏻😄 Thank you for all your lessons and the way you teach .. greetings from The Netherlands 👋🏻
One of my all time favourite songs! Thank you Cynthia! A few new chords for this beginner, but something work working on is very welcomed! Thanks a million.
Great playing and voice - very rich and textured. Your selection of rerptoire is superb. And if I may be so bold as to make a request - would love to hear a Uke version of To Sir With Love. Your vocal style would be good for it I think.
By FAR ny favorite version as I search the web for ukulele versions of this...this one tops all! One thing I noticed...when you go into the run that starts with Dm, in the little chord chart you have at the right side of the screen, the Ebdim7 chord and the B7b9 chord show the same finger positions, throwing me off a little bit but even if I'm missing the proper finger position for one of those chords, it still sounds good.Which one of those is the correct chord?
This is one of my favourite songs and your voice is beautiful. I sing a little lower but it works with this music beautifully. Thank you, your amazing 👏❤
Thank you so much Cynthia for sharing your videos and spreading the ukulele love. I've learned so much by watching you! I don't know if you accept requests, but I would love it so much if you could teach us to play Where did our love go by the Supremes, another classic ;) thank you so much anyway
Why not some old Blues? You can teaching us “Where Did You Sleep Last Night'”, Leadbelly, or “Sittin on Top of the World”? Howlin’ Wolf version please. Thank you so much.
Great song and nice arrangement, and a lovely rendition I could listen to all day... but singing it's another matter, way too low for my voice in this key (or too high if I go up an octave.) For me it's much better in Dm, with all the chords just raised a fourth except the final Am9 becomes Dsus2.

Found the answer: “The long answer would require extensive knowledge of music theory and functional harmony. The short answer is, the bass player should play a different note. It doesnt matter for a high register instrument like the ukulele but if you were playing with someone else that had a mid or low instrument, they would have to structure their chord so that root is the lowest note. Or just play the root. The root is the note that the chord is named after.”
I did not think it was possible for anyone to singing this as beautifully as Ella Fitzgerald. Truly amazed.❤❤❤❤👍👍🙌🙌🙌🙌

I also did not understand 🥲. I was looking for an answer in the comments

I am confused about the two chords that look the same but with different names...
same here, let us know if find out about this.
She explained it on the live tutorial , check her Patreon :)
Yeah, that chord shape has a zillion different names depending on the context. Just play the fingering shown and don't worry about the name.
🇧🇷💖👏👏👏👏🤗💖🇧🇷
