      @MarcTaraz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Maybe if you watch through the entire video carefully you'll see how the model and I were holding the reflector to achieve the shots that we did. This wasn't a tutorial. I hope you enjoy!

      @@MarcTaraz @Marc Taraz Steiner Hi, I completely understand that it wasn't a tutorial; however, your title suggests that you are giving information on how you use the reflectors, and that's why some people click and you get the views. Most photographers on here do that, and again I get that is not your thing, but this response was just not cool. I just saw a post of yours on Twitter, where someone asked "how" you did something and you referred them to a link, so that is what led me to your channel, and I subscribed. But honestly, the way you responded to this person literally made me unsubscribe within minutes. When you're wanting to build a following, which leads to lucrative opportunities, interactions matter. I know I'm only one person, and it probably won't matter, but there where at least 77 viewers who thought it was a "how to." And fyi, some do read responses, so just giving you some feedback. Thank you for your video.

      @bobnish1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@d.b.n.3974 wow you really BUILT this response. yeaaaaaa I may be BUILDING an assumption here, but no where in title does it say "how to" or does it seem to say it is a "how to" video. Thanks for your comment.

    DAYUM FAM!
    I was just ready to spend 1k for a outdoor strobe setup. After watching this, I just get a Reflector for 20 bucks hahah
    How do you actually "hold" your reflector if you are staying away? Do you have a assistant?

    • @MarcTaraz
      @MarcTaraz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Glad I could help! I much prefer reflectors to lights, cheaper, more mobile, and still has that natural light look. The one I used has a hand grip which is super nice. I'm a one man band, so for closer up headshots I'd ask the model to hold the other end out of frame, that's worked really well. Getting a slightly smaller reflector would also allow you to do it. I linked the reflector I use in the description, but any reflector will get the job done if you angle it right

      You'll need a flash for certain things. I absolutely love reflectors. I have several but just because you have a reflector doesn't mean it replaces a flash. There are certain looks that you *cannot* get with a reflector.

    Hey bro, just subscribed and watched like all of your photoshoots videos hahaha! I'm a Canon RP user thats switching to the Sony A7III (when coronavirus epidemic ends)...
    I'm mainly a Boudoir Photo/Video shooter, I was using the EF 24-70 f.28 L II on my Canon, but since I'm gonna sell all of my gear when moving to Sony, decided to go only primes...
    I was thinking:
    -Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art
    -Sony FE 85mm f1.8
    But now, seeing your channel, I realize that maybe the Sigma 35 and Sony 85 would be a better combo for apartments, hotels kinda shooting...
    What do you think? Thanks bro

    • @MarcTaraz
      @MarcTaraz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my honest opinion id hold off on getting any new gear anytime soon. The Canon eos R5 and R6 are supposed to come out this year, as well as the Sony a7siii and a7iv. Even if you do decide you still want to switch to sony, I'd wait till those come out, because there will be steep discounts on the a7iii. Aside from that, yes, I love my 85mm 1.8. The 50 mm is also a great lens, but for me personally haven't found it that drastically different from the 85, which is why I chose to get the sigma 35mm 1.4. I try and get lenses that are different enough that they are worth the money for me, a 85 and 50 are a bit similar. I could just back up with my 85 or get closer with my 35, and that means I don't need a 50. But that's just me! Everyone has different preferences, and the 50 is a great lens and focal length. I think either way it's hard to go wrong.

    • @Francisfphoto_
      @Francisfphoto_ 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Marc Taraz Steiner yeah, I know what you mean! And of course, I’m waiting for those R5 and R6 to come and see how about them!
      For the Sony side, didn’t know that the A7IV was coming... Ok I’ll wait hahahaha
      And yes, I also believe that a Sigma 35 1.4 and the well loved by EVERYBODY Sony 1.8 it’s a fantastic combo to have!
      Thanks again bro

    • @MarcTaraz
      @MarcTaraz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea all the new cameras are going to be coming out, so I think it's best to just wait till they are out before you make a big decision like that. And yea I love my 35 & 85mm combo. Pretty much the only lenses I need. There is a reason why they are universally loved. They arw fantastic.
      Glad I could help! Hope you enjoy my future vidoes!
