I have a midterm test today and my professor throws me 5 datasets and I had no idea to deal with it until I see your video. This is super helpful to me. I love your voice and the way you explain it, crystal clear! Thank you very much.
I need help, why does my tableau cant show the symbol at 13:23. it is just like a line without 2 circles and the table cant join like the video explained
Thanks for your video. I'd like to ask about How can we view the layout of "Inner, Left, Right, Full Outer Join" with two Circles for the relationship? Please
Is it possible to do a relantionship between Author and Award? Right there we see Book is with Award and Edition, but lets say I need to have a relationship between the two tables that are connected to book in this case Award and Author? Is that possible?
Relationships have a couple of advantages over blends... They're almost like a more flexible version of a blend. First off, calculations that use blends always have to be aggregated and you have to define the right aggregation. Relationships take care of that. Blends can't be published as a data source (you'd have to publish two data sources and blend them in a workbook). They're also calculated every time the viz is created, so a blend between two big datasets is a big drag on performance. A relationship should be faster because some of it can be done in the query, not when the viz is generated. At this point, I can't think of a good reason to use a blend over a relationship, although maybe I just haven't run into that situation yet!
Statement - If we did a blend, we would be able to filter the individual data sources coming into tableau Question: Are we able to do that same function using relations
As it is tableau public, does the data sources (excel files) become visible to everybody, before we publish it? I mean, does it become visible while we are working in tableau public?
I assume everything I publish on Tableau Public is public, including the data behind the file. There are some protections, but I wouldn't post anything proprietary.
Do you think they’ll add the relationship links to prep? Great video shame you vanished..happens so often where someone makes something great with intent for more then disappears :(

whats the difference now between tableau relationship and tableau blend relationship?

Question: Are we able to do that same function using relations
Yes - you can filter across a data source that uses relations.
As it is tableau public, does the data sources (excel files) become visible to everybody, before we publish it? I mean, does it become visible while we are working in tableau public?

It shouldn't take ~ 30 minutes to show how to join/blend tables, but still informative.
And who will give the answers ? 🙄
Tableau in Two Minutes is 27.10 Minutes long...
Please add data
And who will give answers of these questions 🙄
It's relationship and not joins
