I have just returned home after having visited the Chritie's HQ in London, it's very eiery sense there. Staff don't have a sense of confidence. I did tell them hey guys have some good sense of customer service and business ethos. The staff kinda agreed. London.

Peter is clearly being paid by Christie’s and Sothebys to steer buyers away from eBay and over to them. If you need proof just look at how slick he looks this week. He must be spending that Sothebys money on makeovers and fine dining. They must be paying him to knock Dot Dot auctions out in CA too, they’ve got great stuff out there. Someone is eating well!

I keep trying to convince myself to open up a live auction house. The boomers are getting older now and the predicted uptick in estates is coming soon.

The younger generation is not as thrilled with the old things as I am. Prices of some furniture has taken a nose dive from 40 years ago. My favorite auction houses in Richmond had to close because today’s buyers are not interested in old brown furniture.

We had a decent local estate auction house close about two years ago. I bought some good items from them. I think the pandemic and lack of in person buyers really hurt their sales.
