James, I’ve been flowing your flying. I now live in North Carolina. I moved down here from The town of Newburgh. I’m now waiting for my Quicksilver Sprint to arrive any day now. I once had a 126 sail plane on your airport. Over the years I have owned about 12 aircraft. I also was part owner with some other guys of the airport between Newburgh and New paltz along the New York Thruway. When I get the Sprint, I plan to buy the new 4 stroke A1000 engine. It’s not cheap, but that’s the engine I plan to use.

That's great what part of NC did you move to? We plan to end up down there within 5 years

What apps do you use when flying?

I have a subscription to Garmin pilot and I've noticed "EFIS TA" is a pretty good app for altimeter and climb and sink rate as well as ground speed. I also have a subscription to "UAV Forecast". It's a very easy to use app for telling whether it's good or not for flying. You can set parameters involving winds and weather so you won't find yourself up in the air on a surprisingly bad day, when it usually looks otherwise on the ground.
