    Very inspiring with the magnets and live rock, was going to purchase a pre-made one but you made this look so easy! Great Job Tom!

      Thanks Paul, from what I read about the pre-made, is they don’t look very real. I only read one review where the mag. Became a problem. So, I’m giving it a try. Tired of the GSP over growing 🤪

    1. You are the Bob Vila of the reefing world - Bravo. 2. Another sonic masterclass. You have an amazing knack for picking music that fits the visuals - it is commendable. 3. What is that fish resting on your GSP at 7:35 . is that the mandarin goby? 4. There is always such drama in the videos, like when the cut coral sinks to its inevitable doom somewhere deep in your rock work when cut - Or will it survive and start growing in the dark? Who can tell! You are a storyteller along the lines of the great American story tellers - Leonard Cohen, John Cash - just with reefing stuff.

    Great Vid. Thinking of doing this method too. How is the magnet doing? Been looking at some of the threads saying Neodymium Magnets does corrode and isnt reef safe. As this is epoxy sealed Im thinking it should last long.

  • @reefcrazed2070
    @reefcrazed2070 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have tried epoxy coated and rubber coated magnets in the past and they do work for a bit, but the salt water always makes it's way in it seems.

    • @TOMReefer
      @TOMReefer  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Reefcrazed, I’ve had the same thing happen. Nothing lasts very long in salt water😃however, I’ve also found that the oxidation from the magnets has no I’ll effect on the inhabitants. I’ve had some for a few years👍🏻

    • @TOMReefer
      @TOMReefer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ich require hosts to survive. Keep it fish free for about 30-45 days. Then you can add fish again. But I might not acquire the fish where you got them before, or quarantine for 2 weeks and treat with copper based meds. 👍🏻sorry about your lose.

    • @TOMReefer
      @TOMReefer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure! I have it on my 6 gallon glass. If you have coralline algae growing on the glass where you want it to grow, just super glue a piece to it. In days it will form on the glass itself. If the gsp is on a piece of live rock, try the method I just showed you. 👍🏻😊
