Connecting Customer DER Data to Utility DERMS

EPRI has led the development of new data requirements to extend new capabilities to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standard, 61968-8 Customer Support. This video highlights the use case that was identified: adding a new distributed energy resource (DER), matching that to a customer and utility program, and then, sending that information to a Distributed Energy Management System (DERMS) for management. Finally, this video points the viewer to where they can go to learn more information about these proposed changes to the standard.
