We don’t really have anything like that over here - we do have flea markets in the summer but not as exotic and exciting as yours there! Those little green berries looking like gamma, is what we in Jamaica call susumber aka, turkey berry. It is as bitter as karela and can be prepared the same way. Nice sauted with saltfish, onions, garlic, tomatoes, etc

Hi Rocky. OMG!!! Those fruits, especially the sugar apples. My favorite as well. I have to put this place on my bucket list for next summer. I am like you, a kid in a candy store when it comes to fruits. Let the dates ripen a bit otherwise they give you cotton mouth. I laughed when I saw you buying longans because the little pests eat yours. Can you put the bunches in bags and tie the bags up to protect them while growing like the Asian farmers do? I am currently in Key West. The island is full of genip trees. Yet, there is none for sale anywhere. The trees are loaded right now. These folks obviously don't know about them. What a waste. Btw. Squash and chicken wings. Yum. I like to brown the wings first. Enjoy!
