Amazing adventure , the challenge of travelling alone is something , but its who you meet along the way both locals and other travellers that makes it rememberable , you will probably go your own ways but will be friends for life
Before I was watching Kinetic Kennons, Itchy Boots, Grizzly N Bear, Eva Zu Beck, Timmy Carter and lots of more, but the last 1 month I saw you guys with NextMeridian, but last night I saw your own program and I liked it very much, and I am determined to watch your programs regularly !!!! Any way thank you very much for to taking us in the different parts of this beautiful world !
That’s very kind of you to say :) the classic 4x4 aspect is huge for us and we want to share that passion with other people. We are working hard to build our storytelling skills to get the message out there!
This reminds me of backpacking in Asia in the 1990s. Best vacation in my life! Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Thailand (a few times), Burma/Myanmar, Laos, and Hong Kong and Taiwan again.
Hey guys! Been following Eva for awhile and meet y’all on her channel…look forward to seeing y’all get to the bottom of our continent! Thanks for all you are showing us! Live from Texas!
What an awesome track. Kudos to you guys doing it. And Kudos to Eva trying it out and making the decision to step out. That troopy is awesome and was in its natural habitat. Thanks for the video.
This track is what we dream of haha it was an absolute blast. Over the years there have been so many trails we have turned around on. We learned very quickly in the Troopy that there was no trail worth destroying our home on wheels.
What a great video again you two . Had to laugh about the troopy rescuing the landy . I have Owened both . loved them both to , but still is fun to tease the other rig . Both are so awesome to over land in . But I liked my landy best 😁 . Really enjoyed your beautiful video . And what a great group of over landers . Fun video .Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :):).🐕:) 🌎🍻👍🏼
Great video! We met Nick and Mathilde back in Canada as they crossed Quebec. We had a great camping night with them and totally feel the vibe you must have in Baja.
Found your vlog from Eva. Really impressed with your editing and production quality! I'd have thought you'd been doing this a long time. Subscribed and looking forward to more of your trip
This was just great , it felt like this is what it’s all about. I didn’t realize there was this much open land still out there. By the way Politicians talk you would think there’s nowhere to see nature any longer, why do we even listen to these people who are uncomfortable outside of hotels without people to address their every whim…..? 😂 I followed Eva Su Beck to your channel and decided to stay!
Great video. When I was living in Tijuana I really wanted to drive the whole Baja Peninsula and take the ferry in La Paz (I think?) which sounds like it's just what you are doing, but then circle back up. My 1st summer there I got married and we went off to Belize and Guatemala for our honeymoon. The next summer my wife was pregnant. The next summer my parents watched our son and we went...... Until San Quintin. We stopped there for the night and my wife missed our son too much so we went back. I had just graduated college that spring and started working the fall when we got back so I lost my chance. I always used vacation to visit my family and now that we are in the US we visit her family. Ever since I learned about the Pan American Highway from my Spanish text book, I've been wanting to drive it. I guess I'll be living vicariously through you guys.
Great video, really enjoyed the editing and music choices. Congrats on breaking 1k subscribers. Also when y'all were going through the panhandle of Florida (a few videos ago) you came right through where I live. 😀 Looking forward to following the adventure.
Scariest part of the whole video besides leaving a solo to drive through baja - I’ve been driving down for 30 years was passing the truck … I absolutely hate that on those roads - Especially since the road was more narrow and there was no shoulder or forgiveness! Be Safe
What a gorgeous video - so cohesive. Are you open to sharing what camera you're using? Both the vlogs & shots of life look lovely! Came across you via Eva & definitely staying for the adventure :) all the best
@@tytycascadia honestly, no. It’s rare for us to use it even when in a group. Most people either don’t have a radio at all or don’t have GMRS. That being said, I still wouldn’t switch to another type of radio.
Wonderful episode! Love the troopy. How ma y miles do you have on it and what did you pay for it if you don’t mine me asking? I want to sell my 2015 Tacoma for one. It’s my dream rig what you have!!
NEW SUB here Amigo..!!! I really want to overland in Mexico , I’m from Chihuahua I know I can find great places there for off-roading. I just need other overlanders to join me 🤓
We know the feeling! Back home we nearly always traveled by ourselves because it was difficult to find people. If you go to the Expedition Portal website and search "Overland Mexico" the first article that pops up might be able to help you find some other Toyota's to drive with :)
Get your entire steering system, ball joints, tie rod ends, stabilizer bar, steering column, and gears, checked. Nick said it had play in it. It shouldn't have any. At one time or another, I have had them all break, not wear out, BREAK. You do not want that to happen in a remote location.
That mine site looked super sketchy. I imagine it was a surprise when you found it. How long do you think it will take to do the whole drive? I think Cody needs to upgrade his lights to LED's, so the Troopy fits in better 😄😄
We were definitely sketched out when we rolled up on it haha. We are planning two years to make it all the way to the bottom of South America and back to Oregon. So far, we are about six months into the trip.
Hi, thank you! We use Epidemic Sound for our music so I'm pretty sure you can use Shazam to get the title and artist. The song you asked about is Violet Sky (Instrumental) by Phello.
Hi! Thanks for subscribing. We really appreciate you following along. Costa Rica and Nicaragua are definite no's for RHD vehicles. We unfortunately are going to have to ship around most of central America.
Yay! Absolutely loved watching this and reliving our adventure! ❤
Thanks so much Eva!! It’s been a wild experience ❤

Good film. You made a great advert for the Baja - and for classic 4x4s.

Hey Thomas, thanks for the support!
Another great video . Lovely to see the same trip from different perspectives
It’s been fun to see the stories that each of us tell. No one experiences the same events in quite the same ways

Excellent video, very impressed with upgrades on the Troopy.
It feels good to be driving the Troopy and not just working on it haha
Great Video!
Great channel guys.Keep the videos coming.
Was nice watching this side of the trip after watching Eva's and Nick & Mathilde's you guys had great footage
Thanks so much ❤❤
Good video, thanks for sharing the off road and beach experience.

Nice job navigating the rough stuff!
The Troopy will churn through anything as long as I don’t loose my nerve 😂
Nice to meet you and greetings from Finland

Awe thank you so much!! We film with a Sony a7iv and use mostly prime lenses rather than zoom. Thanks for the support, we appreciate you :)
Hello, I'm new to this channel. Loved your video.
I'm interested which camera gear you use?
Did you already share?
Thank you sooo much 🥹 we film with a Sony A7IV & 16-35mm, 35mm, 55mm Sony/Zeiss lenses along with a Sony 100-400 G Master telephoto
What kind of radios were you all using to communicate between vehicles, and what radio model do you have in the cab? GMRS? CB?
Hey Tyler. We have a Midland MXT400 GMRS radio in Jambo. Not too sure what model the handhelds were.
@@gdayjambo thanks! Have you found the GMRS useful in other situations?
@@tytycascadia honestly, no. It’s rare for us to use it even when in a group. Most people either don’t have a radio at all or don’t have GMRS. That being said, I still wouldn’t switch to another type of radio.
Love the quality of the shots! It's looking GREAT! Can we ask, with wath you filmed this vlog? 🤩
Thanks! We film with a Sony a7iv, mostly on 35 and 55mm prime lenses, but also 16-35 and 100-400 zoom lenses :)

How come you have 'G'day' in the channel name? Nice work🙏🏻
G'Day is a reference to our vehicle being from Australia
Hi, Great video well done. I love that song starting at 3:35 Do you know the name of it? Just subscribed!
Hi, thank you! We use Epidemic Sound for our music so I'm pretty sure you can use Shazam to get the title and artist. The song you asked about is Violet Sky (Instrumental) by Phello.
@@gdayjambo Thank you so much. That's it. I have been trying to find the name and artist for many months. I will be watching your videos.

How’s it been for servicing the diesel LC in Mexico 😊
We haven’t had to do much to it in Mexico yet, but when the time comes we will just rent space from a local shop and do the work ourselves
Those people who "made Mexico a favor by visiting their country"
Call it whacky but our Mahindra Pikup double cab 4x4 wouldn't be amiss here.
Hah, we'd love to see that!
How do you manage to drive exactly the same distance apart from each other?
Just a lucky shot haha
I rescued two 78 Toyotas with 130 Def, so dont be so optimistic 🤣
No vehicle is immune haha
1:07 No, never heard of her...
