Honestly I wonder if some of the "programming" piccolo had from his dad was fulfilled when he killed goku. Yea he got to come back but it was like, checked off the box. So piccolo started becoming his own person. Let alone gohans heart toward em.
I dont think toriyama made that choice consciously. Not to get to philosophical, but a lot of things we do are based on our subconscious ‘feelings’. Toriyama probably just wrote Piccolo like this because it’s just the way his mind wandered when writing Piccolo scenes. It makes sense for Piccolo to not hold a grudge against Goku forever. Given how they raised the same boy, things eventually lose weight in the long run and, as u said, he already kinda got his revenge by beaming him. Amazing how one’s mind can make art just by letting loose. I think if toriyama had given Piccolo’s character too much thought, he would’ve tried to make too much sense of Piccolo’s actions and that would’ve resulted in something worse than what we got. That’s just me tho idk
I like this idea, especially since piccolo was just a recarnation, and not the orginal. He did his duty and that was it. Piccolo Jr never said anything about ruling the world, that was only his father wanting to do that.
Gohan trained with a literal manifestation of a demon. BUT he did change indeed. Since he managed to train other characters, like Trunks/Gotens and Pan with less intense violence.
R.I.P Toriyama
When there's barely any color ink left in the printer

Aw, he said he's like a BIG green Uncle, not a little green. So wholesome.
My name is dende

Piccolo ended up babysitting Goku’s second child Goten years later. And the Pan alongside Goten
Ain't no way bro is talking with his face like that...talk about Stockholm syndrome. I mean, to be fair, it affected Piccolo, too, but still

@@joaquincasascortes624He also wasn't on a tight schedule with the others, unlike Gohan.
Not sure why there’s Mario galaxy music but I love it ❤️ it fits oddly well
Right? I had it open in a different tab and was browsing through some random episodes when I landed on this scene. Fit too well IMO
No I love it Mario Galaxy has such gentle music and the Gateway music helped amplify how much Gohan cares about Piccolo
