I grew up listening to Crosby, Stills & Nash & had their album with this song Helplessly Hoping. Absolutely loved them & their harmonies. This song is full of alliterations. Home Free more than does justice to all the songs they cover. And this song is perfection to me with the 5 part harmonies. A true masterpiece! I can't say enough about how great these guys are & humble while still staying respectful to the original song.
The precision of breathing in sync, the lockstep of going from unison, to harmony, back to unison, to harmony, the arrangement where several points the baseline hangs on to notes for extended time while the other parts are coming in stages is so incredible, it just like having the most exquisite high end sweets you can buy. The ear candy this presentation provides is so remarkable that I can not think of another to compare it to. ❣
Love Home Free’s version. It’s so clear and the boys are so talented. Hard to beat a cappella. Tim’s lows are amazing and all of them sound great. It is Chance’s baby (first singer). He arranged it I think and shot it in black and white. So wonderful. One of my favorites of theirs!
I love Home Free’s version of this song ! Home Free just released a new Christmas album called Any Kind Of Christmas and 5 videos from the album. The Thanksgiving Song Hark! The Herald Angels Sing Let Me Come Home ( Adam Bastien HF’s new high tenor original tissues maybe need ) The Greatest Gifts Of All ( Tim Foust HF’s bass original ) Santa Claus Is Coming To Town ( Hilarious chaos 😂)
Love this pic Jenn. Thank you. This did me good. Took a tumble yesterday. Stiff and sore. I'm sitting pretty much today. Thanks again for cheering me up once more.❤🎉
I grew up hearing CSN, but I wasn’t familiar with this one. I did go back after Home Free’s cover release and liked it. It’s typical CSN style with the guitar. I really have to say that I do prefer Home Free’s version because of the depth and style in which they performed it. It’s a haunting and beautiful cover. It was Chance that suggested they cover it and I’m so glad the guys agreed to do it. I really enjoyed your take on it and I like your channel. I’ve never stumbled on your channel before seeing this video. I’ve been a fan of Home Free’s for 11 years. I do hope you react to more of their music.
The picture of Home Free that you showed is the new line-up, which is why there is a slight mismatch between that picture and the guys shown in the MV. The band's high tenor Austin Brown left the band this year to follow a solo career and get off the road. He's an insanely gifted singer/songwriter and although he calls himself a country singer, he will certainly go much further than that. You might check out one or two of his early MVs, like If I Met You Now, his recently released Defying Gravity or the hilarious Hers Aint Mine. I'd also like to see more attention paid generally to the Ghost Hounds, a fabulous country/blues/rock outfit. They supported the Stones on tour and have a great sound .Last Train to Nowhere and First Last Time are good places to start.
This is so very beautiful! Austin Brown has left the group to pursue his solo work. They guy that they replaced Austn with in my opinion is not a good fit. He has a great voice. Check out his bio his name is Adam Bastien and you will understand why. Love your reaction!

Ear candy at its finest. A master class in close harmony singing with five voices. Great reaction.
A master class in 5-part harmony. Gorgeous.

Oh No, so sorry to hear you had a fall. Rest up and I hope you feel better soon. Glad you enjoyed the video.
One of my favourite HF songs, but for some reason I keep forgetting about it! The original's nice, but I much prefer the cover.
Have always been a fan of CS&N. Beautiful harmonies.
HF did a great job of this one
I like Home Free's cover much better than the original!

CSN did a good job on the song, but - as usual - HF upgrades everything they do.
Once again HF's version is, in some ways, better than the original.
What are supposed to be lyrics at the bottom of the screen are mostly wrong.
Not something I have any control over
