Just paying attention how Duck's been organizing things, his systems appear to be good for storage and loading/unloading but not for operations. You don't want individual cars sitting in storage sidings like that unless they're not in use, you generally want to preassemble your trains so that they're ready to go as soon as the road engine for that train arrives so that the road engine doesn't have to wait. And if you have through cars stopping for some reason, you don't want them sitting around in storage at all, those go straight from the arriving train to their respective departing trains. In other words, Thomas is kinda right about Duck's systems being overcomplicated. Though Thomas's own "just pull them out as you need them" method isn't exactly good either.
Gotta applaud the analytics there. All of what i said was honestly just made up. Thought it sounded professional. But maybe there's some future story idea about that. Who knows.

Engine Arrival Ideas: James crashing into tar wagons causes him to get sent to Crovan's Gate to get rebuilt causing Donnie to arrive who stays afterwards (based on Dirty Objects). Gordon crashing through Kirk Ronan's station wall causes Afton to arrive and he stays afterward (based on Better View for Gordon). Reginald crashing into Adam's goods train causes Taylor, Mister and Joseph to arrive and they stay afterwards. Alled Greedy arrives in the wake of Gordon crashing down an embankment with a freight train and he stays later (based on Gordon Takes a Tumble). I don't know what would cause other engines to arrive on the North Western Railway including Chris and Melissa, Darwin, King George, Jason, William, Princess and/or Richard.
I may have an idea why Thomas isn't quite a nice engine at times. From what I remember in the Big Four episode "Desperate Replacements" Thomas seemed nicer. I think its all to do with his overhaul/rebuilt he had before he went to Sodor it might have triggered his mind set changing his personality just like his former colleague Melissa as she had a rebuilt which made her think she's a better engine than others. This is just my thoughts of why Thomas doesn't get along with Duck.
No he can't yet. If you realised it, his series is currently in the 30s, meaning it's a good 30 more years earlier. And he does them in order, so that's most likely going to be a long way away. But honestly, I am excited about how he handles everything then
