Hi, loved your video it cheered me up , I'm 1 month in and like you the best thing ever. when I had mine fitted, I walked out with them still in and didn't take them off till bedtime. although i was a little overwhelmed at first I was just so happy to be able to hear. my first day's experience was how many clocks do we own I could hear them all ticking. the birds were very loud, and I told my cat too shush when she meowed oops. you realise at nighttime when you remove them how quiet it is and what you are missing. I look forward to putting them back in in the morning. my only advice is persevere its worth it :-)
It's good to watch your old video's max especially the hearing aid ones as I can relate to you on those! The hardest part is admitting to yourself you have a hearing loss! Then getting your GP to refer you to the audiology department! But unlike glasses, hearing aids will not give you back perfect hearing! When you get hearing aids & if u have short hair it will feel like people are staring! The noise from the aids especially in noisy surroundings can be too much & it's brain overload! Try wearing them a few hours a day at first & if they are not right see your audiologist for a follow up appointment! Tell your family & friends you now have hearing aids! And don't do what I did throw them in the drawer to gather dust! There are a lot of ways to jazz up your aids to make them look cool! The best is to get coloured silicone ear molds! And jazz up the tubing! You can turn ugly beige hearing aids in to something beautiful! I reckon max you would look kinda cool with coloured earmolds! Never suffer in silence there are a lot of people here for you! 💜💜
I’m currently waiting on getting my hearing aids feel really nervous. Just have to wait for my ear molds to come back to my hospital. I choose a silver glitter ones 🥰 do you have sensory overload just a bit scared about that part
I’m getting moulds soon too! I’m very excited about that 😁 I do sometimes get sensory overload because every single day is different, but I’ve learned how to recognise when that’s happening and what to do about it. It’s absolutely ok to take a break from them whenever you need to ❤️✨
I’d like to declare myself, Notification Squad Captain! 🙌😎 - I enjoy listening to you discuss your life. You’re very cut and dry, no bs. Love it!
Haha, thank you! I really appreciate that :)
