What a great journey we've had with Avatar The Last Airbender. We're pretty sad that it's all over and we appreciate you guys so much for joining us on this journey! With that said we'll be starting a new series called Legend of Korra soon so hopefully you guys will join us for that journey as well! Love you guys ❤
Just be sure to watch Legend of Korra as it’s own thing. Don’t compare it too strongly or harshly to ATLA because that’s what some people do which ruins the experience because it doesn’t live up to tremendous reputation of ATLA.
@@modelotimefooooo1853 She can kill zuko without bloodbending him. She also could have meant she'd bloodbend him during the following full moon. I'm pretty sure it was a full moon when she attacked the southern raiders ship and she bloodbent the captain dude. To conclude from this that she can bloodbend without a full moon is just a bad assumption.
Azula is like that for a reason, because her only 2 friends she had betrayed her and now she couldn't trust anyone so she banished them all.. anyway we needed this from her to have some sympathy towards her, they wanted to show us she is still human after all. she is simply not ar her best because she is a human and that's why i love it so much!! hope you have a better understanding of the situation now.
@BozoDestroyer hell no she smiled as her brother was being burned in the face by their father that bitch is simply crazy and evil . And taunted her uncle behind his back about how his brother died she is completely irredeemable Fr. Let’s not forget how she shot lightning at a 12 year old
@@wowdude654 I mean she has mental problems from her father from a young age. They show you that in the show, thats why she's crazy. Would you blame a teenager that was getting influenced by her crazy father since she was born, to now have mental issues and have a warped personality. Yeah she's fucked up but she has a story behind it that you can sympathize with. The only reason Zuko didn't go down that path as well was because he had his mom and Iroh, while Azula took after her father.
@@Bud_Buddha I’m sorry but that’s just not good enough no matter the influence you still no the difference between wrong and right she took being wrong to the absolute extreme she had no loyalty even to her brother and uncle just no
@@wowdude654 Azula has always wanted her Father's approval that's why she always did what he wanted and tried to be the perfect daughter to him. Obviously she wasn't loyal to her Brother and Uncle, they showed in a flash back that she just burnt a gift Iroh got her and she didn't really like her brother either, only her father. The people of the fire nation are indoctrinated and brain washed by propaganda so they don't really know "good and bad", look at WW2 and their propaganda, it worked for many countries and it still is today in main land China. And I'm not saying you have to sympathize for her. You just have to realize theres a reason why she is the way she is, and understand how she got to that point mentally. That's how you write a good villain, they aren't completely one dimensional characters. Characters like Azula, Thanos, Wen Wu (The Mandarin from Shang Chi), and Loki all have a lot more depth to them and makes them a lot better than a classic big evil villain.
Zuko’s scene with Iroh is even more emotional when you remember that the last time Zuko got on his knees to apologize to a father figure, he ended up getting his face scarred, and that was just for talking out of turn. Here, he had actually done something wrong and Iroh immediately hugged him and was just happy he got back on the right path
thats a stretch, they literally just showed a picture of it, and they definitely never talked about it even once, the only other time we see it was as statues at Piandao's estate, i don't know if you wanna count that as "foreshadowing"😂😂
The great thing about Avatar: The Last Airbender is that it’s enjoyable at any age. Getting to meet so many complex and well thought out characters, each with their own personal struggles, and follow them on their journey to restore balance to the world is such an incredible and precious experience. Seeing people react to this show for the first time is such a treat because it’s like I’m reliving my first watch of this show. And I always cry at the finale because of how much I don’t want the journey to end. The post-ATLA depression is so real. You don’t want to say goodbye to these characters, people who’ve you’ve gotten to know and come to see as friends. The series is only 3 seasons but there’s so much storytelling packed in each episode and there’s so much potential for other adventures to explore in this world. That being said, I highly recommend reading 2 comics before The Legend of Korra: The Promise and The Search. These take place immediately after the series finale and explore what happened to Zuko’s mom. And they help transition you into the next series. Really glad to have been with you guys on this journey!
So you have finally witnessed the beautiful conclusion of an amazing show🥺 Also notice how Katara and Aang hug before they kiss, signifying they’re best friends before they became lovers😭😭 also, the story of Zuko’s mom is actually a comic you can find! Amazing
Man, I teared up at the end discussion. Growing up with atla since I was a kid, I never realized the lesson and the messages behind it are SOOO REAL. Now that I'm grown adult, it hits really hard and different
Unfortunately, zuko would not have been able to beat Azula at her best. Iroh even said so which is why Katara had to go with him. They couldn't have shown her descent happening any earlier either bc it was losing the ppl closest to her that triggered it-- her father leaving is what pushed her over the edge. Since her mother loved Zuko more, all Azula cared about was earning her father's love. However, Ozai would only ever see her as a pawn. Even iroh never wanted to try growing close to her bc of how she copied his brother. No one tried to teach her another way.
Iroh didn't know that Zuko has fought Azula to a standstill twice at this point, and is thinking like a general. Zuko would likely _win_ against Azula at her best at this point. But he might not. On the other hand, Zuko and Katara wouldn't _lose_ to Azula at her best, so that's the option you want to go with. 150% success rate is better than 75% and all.
I see where you’re coming from on the Azula fighting at her best topic, but her going crazy is a big part of the character and the story. You have to really think about what lead her down that path. It’s damn near a tragedy
This dude has been watching too much DBZ. "I know you're strong and you want to murder everyone but I'm going to let you get even stronger because the life of the people I care about isn't worth as much as bragging rights."
@@BenJover yeah it's that Z era Dragonball fan mentality kicking in for him i guess lol. Gotta really take a step back and appreciate what's going on with Azulas story mentally as a character, and you'd think by the end of the show you'd know Avatar characters aren't the "I'll only be satisfied if we both fight at our best" type in shonen anime.
@@BenJover Lol I don't think that's it. I just think as a fan he wants to see how strong Zuko is compared to Azula. He's not saying Zuko should've waited for her to be her best or even that her mental breakdown isn't logically consistent with the story that was set up, just that he wanted their final battle to be the both of them at their best so he, as a fan, could see how Zuko would've bested her. Instead, we got Zuko only deciding to fight her one-on-one because he sees she's not at her best.
"I wanna beat her at her best." Easy there Son Goku. Even in that state of mind shes still a force to be reckoned with. I was surprised she was even able to produce lightning in that moment.
Which is exactly why Iroh said it would take both zuko and katara to beat. Assuming he doesn’t know how messed up her mind was, he was fully aware that azula at her best would be a problem. Even iroh wasn’t sure if he could beat ozai.
@@Theoneeyed_ghoul That's a bit harsh, but you are right regarding the fact that Zuko isn't frickin Goku or another Shonen blood-knight type character. This isn't about glory but about getting as few people hurt as possible, which is arguably way more realistic.
Can't believe we're here already, I was so depressed as a kid when it ended😂. Anyway I hope you guys will enjoy Korra, they really dialed up the animation and action it's really good.
Both Azula and Zuko had their journey, Zuko leveled up while Azula slowly went down, being betrayed by her closest friends and being used as a puppet by her father while Zuko was gaining experience and joining team Avatar and improving his firebending in the process, its about normal their final match would look like this: A version of Zuko who even if he's weaker than Azula, he can control his breathing and has a clear goal, while Azula is losing the control of her breathing while losing her mind too, to me it's great character writting right there
The thing with Azula, is exactly the point. She CANNOT be beaten at her best. She is the strongest fighter, has always been and will always be. But the show is depicting that someone can be their own worst enemy. Her mental state is cause by herself, alone.
@@lahunica2726 yes she did. In ba sing se at the very end Azula attacked her with two strikes and got knocked out. Katara even had the advantage due to being night time, underground and had a whole river there. Also if you count the chase episode. The only time she defeated Azula was in the finale where she had a mental breakdown. Toph and Azula we don‘t know for sure but even Toph attacked her directly and she dodged it like it was nothing and they couldn‘t pin her down for a hot second and we can take the chase here as reference cuz that‘s the only times they both fought. Iroh and Ozai would beat her no doubt. In her prime tho they don‘t have a chance imo cuz she is still 14 but is even a lot stronger in the comics than in the show.
@@Lion-ev3et I should have said Azula never defeated her in a fair fight, but always thanks to circumstances, whether it be Katara being extremely tired, or outnumbered because of Zuko and the Daï Li or Maï and Ty Lee. Other than that, in the catacombs of Ba Sing Se, Katara was beating Azula without problem, so from what we saw Azula isn't capable of taking Katara on her own in a fair fight.
I appreciate the all the Korean animators who made the final fight, they went through sleep deprivation, head aches, and according to some sources heart attacks while making the final product.
One thing I’d say going into LOK is go in with no expectations and allow yourself to form your own opinion about it. Listening to what others say will only taint your experience especially since ATLA is so beloved.
Agreed. I'm pretty critical of Korra, but it's by no means as bad as a lot of fans say it is. Season 3 and 4 have some of the best animation on planet earth, no lie.
I know a lot of people have commented about the lion turtles being mentioned in the library but I’ve never really seen anyone mention the mini lion turtle statues that are seen in Master Piandao’s garden. It’s a quick passing shot but they’re there
Katara was not confused because of Zuko: there was never any romantic connection between them on the slightest. She had deep trauma due to losing her mother, thinking she had also lost her father, and having held Aang's corpse on her arms before bringing him back with the Spirit Water. She was 100% sincere: she couldn't date him as long as the war lasted, because she was afraid she would lose him too; they have been soulmates since at least the Fortuneteller episode, though on rewatching, their connection seems to have been instant on the moment they first met.
you'll get turtle answers in legend of Korra--- very cool backstory stuff, can't wait for you to see it-! and honestly the azula things makes sense to me, her losing her mind. And azula isn't the best because she's strong, its because she's smart. She starts winning because she knows zuko will lose the fight to save his friends. IDK I think it works ya know, katana wins because she's smart. more of a battle of wits.
Right? If anyone wants to blame someone, they should blame nickolodeon for trying to keep LoK a 1 season series. Then when they saw that it was successful they gave them a bit more money for a 2nd season
@DASHON HUNCHO Zaheer is my fave villian and season 3 and 4 and 1 are my fave of the show, season 2 is my least but I do like how season3 ties it back to it with the Red lotus stuff and Korra is more interesting to me when it comes to character she has more of a life than Anag did since he was raised by monks, imo
One of my favorite Avatar quotes is what the lion turtle said to Aang. “The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginningless time darkness thrives in the void, but always yields to purifying light.” It’s so optimistic. Basically that there is an inherent goodness to mankind. That’s always been my interpretation anyway.
I kind of agree with the idea that Zuko beating Azula when she’s compromised not being satisfying even though taking her out is top priority. But the switch to Katara is what really saves it for me because Azula still had huge advantages. Azula had the comet and Katara was in a city where she couldn’t have blood-blended even if she wanted to because there was no full moon and she still took Azula down without killing her. I think Katara is the clear winner between the two of them!
Azula still would have won the fight tho. She literally had a mental breakdown, had hallucinations, was sleep deprived and paranoid. Even if you have all the power it doesn‘t matter if you can‘t think straight (spoiler for tlok: take the example from korra and kuvira at zafou. Korra couldn‘t beat her cuz she was suffering from ptsd and she is the avatar). Besides the whole fight katara was running away even tho azula had no strategy like she always does. If it wasn‘t for the trap Katara would have died. And sane Azula wouldn‘t have fallen for that. Katara also has plot armor that‘s why the chains happened to be there and the heroes always win.
I wholeheartedly disagree. This is dragon ball. This is a war. Where hundreds of thousands of people have died, and an entire culture has been obliterated. The world is under siege and In disarray. Literally a world war. The goal isn’t to have a good fight, it’s to win.
@@austinpickens7611 I am not disagreeing with you. I am just saying that Azula was only a match for them cuz she was at her worst that‘s why they won. If Azula didn‘t go insane, she would have won. The fight would have ended like the day of the black sun. If you are putting the fight into perspective.
@@Lion-ev3et Absolutely. One of Azula's biggest strengths is her cunning. She doesn't fight head on if she doesn't have to and never foregoes an advantage. In her A game, she wouldn't have gotten caught. She doesn't normally make those kinds of mistakes. That's why I like the fight. It came up with a believable way for Zuko and Katara to win against an opponent who is quite frankly better than them.
@@Lion-ev3et that’s debatable that she would’ve won. They would’ve tagged teamed her. Azulas strong, but atp she wasn’t leaps and bounds above zuko. Plus Katara, they still would’ve won. That’s why they both went. And if worst comes to worst, we know Katara will blood bend if she sees no other way.
These episodes have a really deep meaning when you think about it. Zuko was lecturing Aang on needing to kill the Firelord because he would not surrender and Zuko knew it was the same for him and Azula. While he didnt want to he knew he had to but got lucky that Katara was able to beat her without killing her. That is why Zuko thanked Katara, not for saving his life but for saving his sisters life.
Really a tragedy what happened to Azula. Manipulation from her father really did a number. Dude was talking crazy talking about Azula like she wasn’t already OP. Azula wasn’t 100% but she was also comet amped. So was Zuko but Azula was always the better fighter. To say them beating her isn’t a feat or satisfying is crazy. If Katara wasn’t a master water bender she would’ve stood no chance against that Azula 1 on 1.
37:45 Recap on this part. she never saw him as something more in the early seasons until the episode Aunt Wu came along "I'm just saying Aang is one powerful bender" it was in that episode that she realised Aang was less of a little brother and someone potential as Aunt Wu predicted she would fall in love with a powerful bender. Season 3 when she said she was confused a couple episodes ago after the kiss she was confused because everything was going on at that point and hasn't had enough time to process things
In episode 1 she was already in adoration of him and in episode 4 she was jealous because of all the girls giving him attention. It's just that she didn't really understand her own feelings for a long while.
Azula's phyc is by far the most interesting throughout the show for me. At first everyone thought she was simply crazy and had mommy issues which is true but there's so much more to it. It took me awhile to realize it too after looking back at it all. From going to the Prodigy fighter to the mental state we saw her at the end. She was always my favorite character because of how tactically smart she was and Ik some people like yourself were disappointed zuko never got to beat her at full strength but it made sense that it happened that way. And I couldn't help but be sad for her at the end.
Zuko is no where near talented enough to defeat Azula, she's literally a prodigy. It would have been suspect if he could have beaten her at her best, and why is that necessary in the first place? This is not a VS battle. Azula has been slipping since the boiling rock episode when her friends betrayed her. She grew to distrust everybody, especially the people she originally controlled through fear. Anyway, the firelord should not necessarily be somebody who bends fire the best, but who has the best interests of the nation, and the world at heart. Zuko need not have been a better bender for him to become the firelord in the first place.
@@coreydaprince not exactly if you read the comics. Azula gets even better than what we saw in the show. Zuko may have a better understanding of his element but Azula has technique and is in general a better fighter than him. He saw that Azula wasn‘t in the right mind set that‘s why he fought her alone. Besides even Iroh can‘t beat Ozai even tho Iroh also learned from the sun warriors/dragons.
@@coreydaprince The sun warriors is still confusing to me that seemed to be more spiritual than anything they didn't learn fighting moves persa except a few moves from the dragons
@@Lion-ev3et Also, I didn't know Ozai was the most powerful bender in the show until the comics🤣. Like... I saw a tweet of pictures from the comics where after Azula shouted at Ozai and said "I deserve to he by your side" she says she hasn't raised her voice and she wondered if he would hit he(idr) and then she said "not even I can beat my father"
@@aanyamallick7747 yeah and I think the creators confirmed in the Avatar extras episodes when you bought the dvd but I am not sure. And what you mentioned also basically confirmed it.
Avatar is an amazing journey. Better yet when you can share it with other people. Theses reactions were super fun, guys! Thank you very much for the content and, in a way, for the company.
What I have consistently noticed is that people who jump right into Korra enjoy it better. Watching the original airing of ATLA and having to wait a couple years to see Korra made the nostalgic kick in pretty hard. The animation of Korra makes it worth it almost by itself.
All that Zuko-Katara talks really reminded me of how the creators of this show trolled the audiences in comic-cons with how they cut the season 3 teaser trailers. Those were basically high level Zutarra bait. You should watch them.
I think this show needs to be (properly) watched twice- as kids and as adults. As a kid i remember all the action scenes and how much i loved it. Now when i rewatched it after years i could appreciate the many many life lessons this show gives ya. I still think at least a little bit of the serious stuff and lectures get to the kids and help shape them as they grow
I was waiting for you guys reaction! Glad you guys finished this amazing masterpiece of a show! Can't wait to see you guys react to The Legend of Korra!
Ozai raised Azula so that she would rely on fear to control people, but deep in her heart, she wanted to be a normal 14 year old. She wanted her mother's love. But she pushed that thought away, telling herself that fear was the only way. Until she was betrayed and saw that fear was useless if it drove those you cared about away. And Azula begins to lose her sense of power as she worries that everyone and everything is lying to her, even herself. If you want more insight into Azula's future, mental state, and Zuko's mother, you could always check out the comics in your spare time.
Bruh the moment Iroh grabbed Zukko I was in heavy tears. Man something so quick can be overlooked but really showed how much Iroh Loved Zukko like a father and Zukko appreciated Iroh as a Son. Powerful quick moment of embrace.
If you wanna find out about their journey after it ended you can read the comics! We get a whole breakdown on Zuko mom! Ahh this makes me remember my 4 year old self crying when this episode ended
Growing up as a kid I wanted more Just seeing the "the END" in the end is very depressing there's always a longing for more which just gives me stress thinking about it.
The watermelon thing I never understood growing up in a Mexican household I think Hispanics are the #1 consumers for watermelon lol 😆 Was a pleasure enjoying the Avatar journey with you two! I started with you back at the beginning of ur DBS reactions and kept watching since
You shouldn’t be upset that zuko beat azula when she wasn’t at her best. They could not let her win at any cost, because it’s not just a personal fight, the world is caught in the balance. If azula wins, the war continues and the fire nation takes over the rest of the earth kingdom (they basically have already) and the water tribes. They needed to assure, no matter what, azula’s defeat. That’s why they were ok with 2 on one to beat azula.
First off thank you guys so much for watching this series and letting us see your reactions, I really loved seeing you guys getting into the world of Avatar! And secondly, I know it's easy to hate on Azula, but when you take your time and understand her upbringing, it's easy to see why she became such a broken person. I'm not even her fan, but contrary to Zuko, she never had someone who believed in her and tried to bring her to the "good side", Zuko had his mother and also Iroh and eventually his friends, but Azula, in a sense, had the curse of being a prodigy and her whole life had the pressure of her father expectations. I don't know, in the end you could say that Azula is a reflection of all the issues in her family.
Man it was nice being on this journey with you. I won’t be reacting to your Korra reactions but I’ll definitely be keeping up with the other series you’re reacting to.
Not one break of talking throughout every single episode damn! I know this is a reaction but, you don't have to say every thought out loud. Just watch, enjoy, and your questions about literally every new second of the show will be answered by the following seconds lol. That way you don't need to ask the same questions....again...at the end of the episode. Even your co-reactor on the left gives the occasional look of "dude shhh, I can see what's happening, no need to describe everything you're seeing". Again, I know it's a reaction, and this is more of a constructive rant to say what I'm sure the majority of viewers are thinking. Other than that, you guys are genuine people and I'm glad you enjoyed this amazing show!! 😁 Take care!
What makes the show so good is that you can enjoy it as a kid AND as an adult; As a kid you watch it because the action, colors, and funny stuff that happens... As an adult you really appreciate the life lessons taught by each character arc...
I have LOVED binging through all these reactions, and I can't wait to check out more of your reaction series! I love how she got one more "how did you guess that?!" before the end, haha~ I'm glad you're also continuing onto Korra as well. As much as I love LoK, I can definitely say it's not as good as AtLA, but there were a lot of production issues that led to that. (With no spoilers: we were supposed to have only one short season, so Season 1 finale was the series finale, and then it was extended and supposed to end at Season 2. Only after that were the last two seasons added on, so they flow and connect a little better story-wise.) That said, I do think you'll really enjoy the characters and that smooth smooth animation throughout.
I understand you saying “I want to beat her at her best” in regards to Azula, but you have realize this isn’t like some basketball game or chess match that if they lose, they can just go home and try again another day. They are fighting on opposite sides of a war, with the future of the fire nation (and world) on the line. There is no other chance, this is it. I don’t want to sound callous, but when there is so much on the line, you have to do whatever it takes to win. Azula will not think twice to kill Zuko for the throne or to please her father, so her not being at her best is a blessing in disguise for Zuko. They aren’t just fighting on opposite sides, they are brother and sister torn apart by war. Two pieces of a broken family. That is why the pace of their fight scene is so slow and dramatic and emotional because if you really think about it, it is really devastating. And they were just kids! I didn’t grasp the depth of their Agni Kai as a 14 year old watching this, but I remember rewatching this scene for the first time as an adult and crying.
The most likely reason to why Ozai looks shocked when he sees Aang is the fact that before this moment, Ozai has never actually seen him in his entire life, he's seen paintings, drawings and cosplays of him probably, but the one person who could destroy everything that he has worked towards, he hasn't ever seen him before that moment. And it's the same for Aang as well, he hadn't ever seen Ozai before this either though it's less pronounced of a reaction as he's only been back in the world for around a year, while Ozai has known about the threat of the Avatar for his entire life.
Imagine that comet in real life. Unfortunately, in the canarian island of La Palma (Im from another canarian island) a volcano has been spitting lava and destroying everything for one week now. I kept thinking about the roku and sozin episode when the volcano erupted and I was one of the people thinking "everybody got out, why are you still fighting the volcano?". And it hit me: its about saving your home, which is your life , your memories, everything that you worked for and where you raised your family, and your future, your anchor; no matter how bad of a day you had, you always have a home to come back. Its very sad yet mesmerizing the power of nature. Off topic but I wanted to share it with everybody. Great reactions as always!!
Since you're watching Korra, Do yourself a favor and think of it as its own thing and don't try to compare them. I personally like to pretend Korra isn't a thing.
Just wanna say I got much love and want to thank you both for doing this and reacting to this amazing show. Rewatching this thru fresh eyes has been so fun and waiting each week for a reaction was something to look forward to each time. I'm glad you guys loved this show as much as we all do and see how amazing it is. This is very bittersweet I agree, but it's good to have you guys apart of the Avatar community! And to answer your question, the comics have answers to what happened to Zukos mom! Thank you guys again fr 💙🙏🏽
Y’all don’t understand the emotional state when I was a kid when this show finished 😂 like sometimes I wanted to delete my memory cuz this show is that amazing.
This reaction was absolutely PERFECT. Steph finally getting emotional during those final moments, Mel adding The Last Airbender to her top 3 favorite shows, your reactions to Iroh/Zuko reunion, and much much more. Avatar has changed my life in a lot of ways throughout the years, and now it's essentially turned me into a huge fan of the Belz fam haha. Looking forward to your Korra reactions!!! I love that show to bits, and Korra is certainly my personal favorite "Avatar" of all time because of how truly flawed of a person she is. In time you will grow to love her as well :) ❤
I've literally been waiting for y'all to get here! And honestly I like Korra it's like everything it has its moments but it is its own thing and I DEFINITELY ENJOYED IT for what it was
I miss waiting on Fridays for this show so much Edit: Also the island turtles are so old they masked his scent. And I guess you guys can see how there was a whole shipping war between Katara and Aang vs Katara and Zuko, LOL.
Thanks for the journey guys! ❤ I'm excited ya'll will watch Legend of Korra, yeah it's a hit or miss for most of the fans. But if you really just watch it as a spin-off it kind of it removes some of the negativity you might feel. Cause honestly, Korra has great and terrible moments that Avatar did not - it tackles more mature themes head-on. It was Nickalodin constantly screwing over the writing team EVERY. SEASON. So the quality of the writing dips, but it's def worth the watch! Much love ❤ Edit: Also the team paid outta pocket to make the gorgeous animation happen for the finaly. You can really tell how passionate the creators were.
Aang's Avatar State orb of elements was crazy. Not only was he bending the elements, he was bending the laws of physics. He was _compressing_ elements that can't be compressed, an by doing this he increased the destructive potency of his attacks, like the rain of tiny pebbles that each impacted with the force of 50 cal rounds.
Mel on point as always I liked that she made the connection immediately about "the energy within ourselves" and bending. This has been mentioned several times throughout the series. Benders are able to do what they do by manipulating the energy within themselves and around them. Powerful as this makes them, regular people can still take out a bender very easily with the right training. Just look at Ty Lee, who beats benders by hitting their chakra points, sealing their bending away because the flow of their energy gets disrupted temporarily.
What’s even more dope about the Agni Kai scene is the fact that Zuko is not only using his new firebending technique, he’s using techniques from the other elements as well.
I wouldn't say it's 50/50. all the reactors I've seen debate watching Legend of Korra ended up loving it and saying they would regret it if they hadn't watched it. people who dislike Korra or say don't watch it, have trouble with change and comparing apples to oranges. Legend of Korra is amazing despite the flaws that Nickelodeon subjected to the creators, but in my opinion Korra is a better avatar than Aang and creates the most change to the world and in her own character development. better animation, better villains and way more characters
Exactly, it's not 50/50. It's just loud minority that cant stand that someone love that show. Most of TLoK fans are quiet about that and only post something then someone is hating korra xd
Jeeze watching this with you guys brought back all the old feels. Man what a monumental ending to a fantastic series! Honestly hands down one of the best series finale I've seen and just how well it was handled. This tale was beautifully told and action was stellar.
Aight she can lose I mean she was in the season 2 finale against katara till Zuko helped lol, but you really think a good mental state azula was gonna get knocked around by zuko the way she did in this fight?
What a great journey we've had with Avatar The Last Airbender. We're pretty sad that it's all over and we appreciate you guys so much for joining us on this journey! With that said we'll be starting a new series called Legend of Korra soon so hopefully you guys will join us for that journey as well! Love you guys ❤
Yes! Just as good in a more mature way

I feel like a lot of people forget Azula is 14 having a MENTAL BREAKDOWN.
It was an amazing ride indeed
Same situation when i forgot that toph is blind, Azula is too beauty for a teenegers (well atleast she got her mom face😅)
I fell şad for her when she cry here
Azula is like that for a reason, because her only 2 friends she had betrayed her and now she couldn't trust anyone so she banished them all.. anyway we needed this from her to have some sympathy towards her, they wanted to show us she is still human after all. she is simply not ar her best because she is a human and that's why i love it so much!! hope you have a better understanding of the situation now.
Wait did y’all sympathize with her fr? I didn’t feel any kind of sympathy for her I felt she deserved it fr
The lion-turtle has been forshadow as far back as the library in the desert episode. It was mentioned that they are the wisest of all creatures.
And they're always connected with the spirit world. Like a living bridge between the dimensions.

I never realized the lesson and the messages behind it are SOOO REAL.
In the end I still didn’t feel bad for her lol crazy girl with low self esteem
@BozoDestroyer just ignore him he doesn't know good writing
The last part is not true
@@eliezerosorio2127 you clearly need to watch psychology of azula on TH-cam.
Exactly. A lot lead up to her decreasing sanity.
Keep simping 😂😂😂😂
"I wanna beat her at her best." Easy there Son Goku. Even in that state of mind shes still a force to be reckoned with. I was surprised she was even able to produce lightning in that moment.
Which is exactly why Iroh said it would take both zuko and katara to beat. Assuming he doesn’t know how messed up her mind was, he was fully aware that azula at her best would be a problem. Even iroh wasn’t sure if he could beat ozai.
I think once you've mastered lightning, you've mastered it and it's easier to produce
I don’t think they understood a single thing about the show. You can tell the dude went into it with some kind of hardcore anime mindset 💀
@@Theoneeyed_ghoul
That's a bit harsh, but you are right regarding the fact that Zuko isn't frickin Goku or another Shonen blood-knight type character. This isn't about glory but about getting as few people hurt as possible, which is arguably way more realistic.

Yeah literally she was fighting herself cuz if she was sane the fight would have probably turned out like the day of the black sun.
That's not true, she never defeated Katara, even at her best. As for Toph we don't know, and Iroh and Ozai for sure would easily beat her.

Agreed, all the korra haters forget it's just their opinion. Many people actually enjoy the show. 💕
Agreed. I'm pretty critical of Korra, but it's by no means as bad as a lot of fans say it is. Season 3 and 4 have some of the best animation on planet earth, no lie.

One of my favorite Avatar quotes is what the lion turtle said to Aang.
“The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginningless time darkness thrives in the void, but always yields to purifying light.”
It’s so optimistic.
I still remember when people classified it as a kid's show.

48:31 you've already seen Aang used that ability before and Toph, just a higher/basic level of earthbending
Avatar is gonna be one of those shows you'll show to your kids just to watch them experience this journey all over again.
But he learned the ways off the sun warriors and Learned many techniques from iroh, so I’m pretty sure zuko is on par/slightly worse than azula now
@@coreydaprince not exactly if you read the comics.

On the "Katara could just blood bend if she wanted to": no, it´s not full moon.
Not every story gonna have you get stronger than the enemy . Zuko is just not stronger than a fully active azula , only iroh and aang could beat her
What I have consistently noticed is that people who jump right into Korra enjoy it better.

Legend of Korra gonna be a blast, can't wait for your reactions guys
said no one ever
Hated that show
@@undisputedent.2370 loved it so much
@@stfustfu8384 says everyone that enjoys korra, which is way more than the haters haha
@@DokkanG0D korra did nothing for me as a character. Just watched it for Aang's family
When u realize Azula wasn't at her best but it took both of them to beat her🗿
Time for the Legend of Korra!
Read comics to find out about the mom!
“You sleep with your eyes open”
“WHAT!!”😂😂😂😂
I enjoyed the ride with you guys Shitttt now onto korra
In time you will grow to love her as well :) ❤
The "where is the zukos mum"- question will be answered in the comics.
I've literally been waiting for y'all to get here! And honestly I like Korra it's like everything it has its moments but it is its own thing and I DEFINITELY ENJOYED IT for what it was
Love this!!! Hope you watch Kora next 🍿
I miss waiting on Fridays for this show so much
Edit: Also the island turtles are so old they masked his scent.
Much love ❤
Edit: Also the team paid outta pocket to make the gorgeous animation happen for the finaly.
Damn, this is really the end
Mel on point as always
I liked that she made the connection immediately about "the energy within ourselves" and bending. This has been mentioned several times throughout the series.
Benders are able to do what they do by manipulating the energy within themselves and around them. Powerful as this makes them, regular people can still take out a bender very easily with the right training. Just look at Ty Lee, who beats benders by hitting their chakra points, sealing their bending away because the flow of their energy gets disrupted temporarily.
so fukin perfect i love yall👌🏾💯
Also wanted to say LOK generally is a good show jus try not to compare the two and keep an open mind🤷🏾♂️💯
What’s even more dope about the Agni Kai scene is the fact that Zuko is not only using his new firebending technique, he’s using techniques from the other elements as well.
Katara can only blood bend during a full moon I'm pretty sure
I loved every min of this video. Good Job on completing Avatar guys, thank you!
Agreed. Korra's only flaw for me is the inconsistency and pacing sometimes, but that was more because of Nickelodeon
This show was my childhood
Even at her worst, Azula proved too much for Zuko to handle by himself.
Y’all gotta watch The legend of korra
I agree, I loved ATLA as a child but after rewatching it now that I’m older really gives me a different level of appreciation for it fr 🤞🏾🤧💯
The day that Azula's fans accept that she can lose even in her good mental state is the day that the Avatar community can move forward.
Aight she can lose I mean she was in the season 2 finale against katara till Zuko helped lol, but you really think a good mental state azula was gonna get knocked around by zuko the way she did in this fight?
Azula loses on the drill episode. Now she had to deal with something that is completely new for her but Zuko experiences on a daily basis: struggle
she bests Zuko in the comics again tho, so...
